Time spent in the studio is SO SO rare lately. I have been in here for two hours, and i plan to make this whole weekend studio time. It is wonderful to be back to actually *making* art. Since I am out of sorts with it, I am doing some exercises to get my mind back in it. I turn to printmaking and collage for reminding me how color works and how compositions are formed when I don’t have a plan. If my sewing machine weren’t under the table, I also might to some free motion sewing. For me, these are more carefree than painting, and they remind me that I love art making. Remembering that this is fun makes the work part a lot easier. #artprocess

My favorite thing about ARCH is that, It’s a multi-purpose resource which did not exist when I was a kid growing up in Anacostia.
Last book I read was... ‘Waking Up White’ by Debby Irving
Superpower would be... Clairvoyance
You should support ARCH because It is the last true village in the District. It needs to remain stable as the "redevelopment" takes hold.
With your donation we can continue out mission through 2018 and beyond. Donation link in bio
