To celebrate the first pop up dinner of the series on July 22 at @messhalldc, Johanna’s Table will pay tribute to where its culinary journey began: Liguria. A region of Northern Italy just off the Mediterranean coast, Liguria is known for its exquisite seafood, unique Genovese basil and wild herbs, as well as a life altering focaccia. This evening’s concept reflects my childhood - trips home to where my mother was born and raised - and my eagerness to share a regional cuisine yet to be celebrated in DC.
