[Palawan, Philippines] Just posted a blog on 5 Beautiful Islands in El Nido, Palawan (Link in Bio). ✌️ Posting the blog made me miss the food there. This was the crocodile sisig I had when I went to Palawan. It's my first time seeing crocodile meat for sisig since it's normally pork (now also chicken and fish). The meat was tender (kinda like beef). Along with the herbs and spices and egg mixed in a sizzling plate, the taste and aroma was just perfect with garlic rice 👌.
Did you know? Palawan was named World's Best Island by @travelandleisure this year. That's the second year in a row!
🍽 Crocodile Sisig

Kinship (@kinship_metier ) this past Monday with @toastofthetowne !! Amazing meal at one of my absolute favorite places in the city. Pictured here : slow braised short ribs with Carnarili risotto / persimmon / butternut squash / beer gastritis - this was my entree dish and had incredible flavor and texture on both the meat and the risotto. 2nd pic is tuna tataki with cucumber butter pickle, marinated onions, puffed rice, and dashi gelee : the gorgeous lightly smoky barely seated tuna was perfectly done here with all the accoutrements adding to and never overwhelming it's flavor. 3rd pic : lobster French toast - this is a DC classic that needs no introduction, almost any review online will mention this so I won't go into it again but this is a must if you go. 4th pic : classic Kinship complementary toffee, 5th : sweet potato cake! *Basically the perfect fall dessert with bay leaf chattily and apple cider ice cream. Per usual with kinship : awesome meal and a fantastic time 🙌

Brunch at @bardecodc 🍳 we go to a lot of great restaurants for this account, but this was honestly one of both of our favorites.
