DC COMICS: The trunks are back! Action Comics issue 1000 will bring back Supermand classic suit. Its unsure on if this will be only for this issue or beyond it as well.
Are you happy to see Superman sporting this classic look again?
Really love the covers on this series. I’ve been meaning to pick it up for awhile but my lcs never has the first issue. I decided to just pick up the second one and found it easy to learn what was going on. It’s a run of the mill dystopia just with your fav dc characters. I think i’ll wait for a trade of this I wasn’t too invested. I guess in my opinion theres only so many roads a dystopian story can go that I don’t trust a comic to deviate from those paths? I’m sure they’ll be fightin against the man come next issue. However if you dig the dystopia stuff i’d recommend it 100%. I really like the idea! 🔥🔥🔥/🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 big brother wants to keep this lit dim fam. #nightwing#batman#alfred#justiceleague#starfire#dc#dcrebirth#dccomics#superhero#superheroes#comicbook#comicbooks#dystopianfuture#nightwingneworder
Part 2 - Recruitment [San’a, Yemen] “Of all the goddamn places in the world, the bastard had to choose fucking Yemen.” Logan Wilson muttered to himself. He was walking a small village in Sana’a, as he was trying to track down his first candidate-- Metamorpho. He would definitely be a useful asset to the new strike team Waller had tasked Prophet with assembling, should he agree on joining.
There had been various sightings of a man that was mysteriously stopping crimes all over Yemen. Matching that with reports of a foreigner with white skin, that had recently arrived in Yemen, and Logan knew he was at the right place. “I need to flush this guy out.” he thought to himself.
Logan made his way to a local market, one he made sure had no-one who could offer any sort of resistance. He slowly made his way through the crowds, placing himself in the middle of the street. Once there, he set his plan in motion: aiming twin machine guns to the sky, Logan started unloading the clips, startling the entire market and causing mass panicking. After a few seconds, he spotted a cloaked man running across the rooftops, before leaping off. As the man landed behind Wilson, the latter turned around to face his possible new recruit. “Rex Mason. You're a hard man to find.” said Logan, holstering his weapons. “That was intentional. I want to be left alone.” replied Rex, hood still covering his head. “That's mighty fine and everything, but my agency has requested your abilities.” Logan replied.
Rex clenched his fist, turning it into a spiked mace. “Maybe I wasn't clear.” Before Logan could react, Metamorpho drove his fist against Wilson’s chest, sending him flying backwards several feet. Logan grunted, as he rolled on the ground before getting back up. Darting towards Mason, Prophet jumped off the ground, spinning in the air and sending his foot towards Mason, who blocked the blow by morphing his right arm into a shield. Rex threw the agent aside, who managed to land his feet this time. The morphing man threw several punches at Prophet, who skillfully dodged each of blows.

The Red Trunks Return In Action Comics issue 1000
*Sniff*.....finally, an iconic look i've been waiting for. :')
A redesigned Superman will debut in April 18’s Action Comics Vol. 1 issue 1000 - with the iconic red trunks officially back as part of this new design. Although the designer is unclear, Action Comics #1000 ’s cover by DC Co-Publisher Jim Lee, inker Scott Williams, and colorist Alex Sinclair shows off a mix of familiar elements with some modern nuances.
“Action Comics issue 1000 represents a watershed moment in the history of not just comic books, but entertainment, literature and pop culture,” said Lee. “There’s no better way to celebrate Superman’s enduring popularity than to give him a look that combines some new accents with the most iconic feature of his classic design.”
As part of this event, DC will also be publishing an Action Comics hardcover companion book edited by one-time DC publisher Paul Levitz. In addition to that, titles across DC’s superhero line will feature Superman-themed variants in the month of April.
“The one-thousandth issue of Action Comics is an incredible milestone in pop culture and a testament to the vision of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster,” said DC co-publisher Dan DiDio. “Without this book, along with Siegel and Shuster’s fertile imaginations and boundless creativity, the superhero’s place in literature may have been wildly different, if not altogether nonexistent.”
