To the women who are winning, placing dead last or are discouraged from a show... YOU ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL. A placement doesn't determine your worth and one panel of judges doesn't set the standard for the bikini division.
A question I get a lot is “what are they looking for at NPC bikini shows”. Fitness competitions are not an Olympic sport because they are subjective. The following is the criteria we are given: 👉Judges will score competitors on "Balance and Shape" and overall physical appearance, including complexion, skin tone, poise and overall presentation.👈 No where does it say the judges will base scores off how ripped, shredded or vascular you can get (but who doesn't love being shredded? 😜😉) A lot of the ladies we work with get intimidated over someone having an 8 pack or veins in their stomach, but as long as you are in the bikini division that may or may not work to your advantage. A great example of this is the overall winner of nationals for bikini last month or even the current bikini Olympia winner. SWIPE RIGHT to see top 5 when I won Junior Nationals. There were girls MUCH harder and drier but that’s not the only criteria.
I 100% believe that the bikini division is an achievable body year round (especially with the proper time invested). For myself and @teambossbodies athletes I believe in the following:
1. No drugs- even the head of the female IFBB encourages bikini being drug free. I’m 100% natural
2. You CAN follow a flexible plan- look at some of my newer pros @fiitnesschic @tiannaa_rae @naiymafit all had foods they loved in their plan or followed macros
3. Minimal cardio- an excess of cardio isn’t necessary especially if you don’t yo-yo show to show
4. Sustainability and longevity. There’s no reason to not stay in a body you love even if you aren’t competing. Balance is key 🔑

I cried last night for the first time in awhile.
I have no clue why. Not one single clue. I started typing out my thoughts and tears just started rolling. The main reason I wanted to share this was to let you all know that I'm not positive/happy all of the time. I'm human. I have mini meltdowns, I get sad, stressed, anxious, etc. often and that's okay.
I know that I need to feel these negative emotions so that I can effectively deal with adversity. I know that all feelings have a place. I've never really been a person who expressed their emotions well and I'm still learning how to embrace/express my feelings instead of pushing them to the side/ignoring them.
Yesterday is in the past and today is a new day. I woke up today and reminded myself that I am beautiful. I am worthy. I am strong and that I am in control of my life. I told myself that today was going to be a good day simply because it's a fresh start and another day to appreciate who I am now while working towards who I want to be.
It’s never too late to start. Just about halfway done with this year and it’s time to start planning and focusing on things that you want to see accomplish next year. Write down your goals, have a vision and a matter what happens, you keep moving forward!

The last two weeks have not been my best, so I couldn't wait to actually go grocery shopping and make food ahead! I've been throwing simple stuff together, and it hasn't been terrible, but I did fall off track a little more than usual!

This 6 months prep is officially done, new gainz are waiting for me, my motivation is at an all time high, can't wait to get back in the gym tomorrow and claim those gainz as my own.
