Ganoderma è un fungo che cresce su legno preferibilmente castagno e quercia in decomposizione, è molto conosciuto nei paesi orientali dove gli attribuiscono molte proprietà terapeutiche. È un fungo molto coriaceo e ricco di tannini quindi dallo scarso interesse gastronomico.
Tra i molti principi attivi contenuti nel Ganoderma Lucidum dobbiamo ricordare i Beta-glucani, di cui ne sono ricche le pareti cellulari del fungo che possono favorire il transito intestinale e una migliore composizione della flora intestinale nonché può essere d’aiuto per la regolazione della Glicemia e Colesterolemia.
Altre sostanze attive presenti nel Ganoderma Lucidum sono i triterpeni in grado di aiutare a ridurre le reazioni allergiche, limitando la produzione di istamina e la funzionalità epatica ed il metabolismo cellulare.
Riassumendo possiamo concludere che il Ganoderma Lucidum come adattogeno, può essere d’aiuto nella prevenzione delle patologie metaboliche , nella regolazione del sistema immunitario, nella diminuzione di allergie ed intolleranze.

Many people see someone fit and automatically assume it's their genetics and that they never had to go through struggles others are facing. But most of the time every single fit person has one hell of a story. Many strayed off with issues like being overweight, having eating disorders, depression while I started off (to be exact, got back at it) skinny, weak, in constant pain from the herniated deteriorated disk and miserable. My doctor said I wouldn't be able to lift anything more than a coffee mug and recommended me for a back surgery. Luckily my physical therapist suggested a different route by saying I needed to build as much muscle as possible around the injury to prolong getting a surgery/or not getting it at all and prevent my disk from getting any worse. The picture on the right is from around 2.5 years ago when I started getting back into the fitness world after the injury. I started off really slow with some swimming, incline walking (no running though, even now), and eventually lifting with very light weights. I was getting stronger and stronger. I finally decided I wanted to try something I've been wanting to do for years - compete in bodybuilding competitions. I met my amazing friend and show prep coach @teamjesbon who helped me turn my fear and dream into reality. She pushed me every day to be my best, she believes in me, supports me and truly cares. So happy to have you in my life.
