If you are quiet about injustice happening elsewhere, and just because it doesn't affect you, you see no reason to condemn it, then you are on the side of injustice. Being neutral about injustice happening in Kisumu is just bullshit. It's like being neutral when an elephant steps on a mouse? Do you think the mouse will think of you as a just person?
What will we tell our children? That in 2017, Luos were killed and we were all silent? Pretending to be on the safe side? Justifying killings? One day this hand will turn around to hunt us, and we'll not bat an eye because democracy has been compromised.
I am totally fed up and I'll make noise about it.

Day 289 Municipal elections today! Russell was my assistant voter and did great. After the boys went with Paul this evening, they came back and wanted to do a vote. So we voted on Pokemon cards :) #vote#democracy#futurevoter#1yearofstitches2017
How brave I was.
Pernah menunda keberangkatan pesawat menteri? Saya juga pernah melakukannya tahun 1988-1989.
Setengah tiang hingga lengser!
Photographic Study for Artist Reading (Reboot: A Democracy Makeover to Empower Australia's Voters by Richard Walsh), 2017. #hazeldooney#richardwalsh#reboot#democracy
Recommended reading for anyone living in a democracy. I don't pretend to understand the art of governance. However I'm interested in how civilised societies function and ideas that explore improving systems. Special mention for noting "George W Bush has devoted his political after-life to creating bad art" (p. 71).
Votes are in! Very interested to find out who my city councillor will be, I think it'll be a tight race!
This is the Edmonton business card holder that I designed a few years ago. Above is the Edmonton skyline and trees of the river valley. The line in the front is the shape of the North Saskatchewan as it runs through Edmonton!
