Had lunch with a 37-year-old doctor who is doing an exchange program here in Kiel. Learned so much knowledge of the CT technology and the reality of the situation in hospital. So grateful! Still a long way to go!! #designerlife#designprocess#designresearch

Speculative – Post-Design Practice or New Utopia?
We tried to answer “Speculative – Post-Design Practice or New Utopia?” question through a series of interviews with the authors of the presented works together with the prominent international practitioners in the filed of speculative design. We have also incorporated a discoursive view of the eminent experts in the field of speculative (and general contemporary) design practice.

If you haven’t yet, check out the adidas Originals store in Wicker Park. It’s a slick retail space with art installations, comfy spaces, and monthly collaborations. Inspiring to say the least 👏🏻
Such an interesting dialogue with the UnBox Network around Future of Human Ecologies. How do we design for system, design for good governance. Should we start from each unit of this System. Or the city dotted with Provotypes to stir discussions. Is it right to get people vulnerable to steer them for participation. Great insights.
Building off of previous concept maps of banking apps, students have now moved into wireframing. Before doing that though, they started by imagining how real people would use the app, wrote scenarios, and drew storyboards. They then tested wireframes with at least five participants they did not already know. Visit the blog for a more in-depth look at our student’s approach. #AC4DQ2

“My mom would always push me to think in extremes. She always says, ‘To avoid ready-made answers, don’t talk to expected people. Talk to extremes. Gather witnesses from all walks of life and listen to stories that others didn’t cover.’” IDEO Design researcher @nazlicangoksu shares five design lessons that she’s learned from her mother, a political journalist in Turkey. ideo.to/designresearchmom (Link also in bio). #ideoblog#designresearch#journalism
