📷 by @mr_vero: "Should you write good documentation and clean code to increase the "Bus Factor"? You should strive to become irreplaceable not by writing code noone else understands, but by gathering more experience and knowledge than others. The former way makes you a developer everyone tries to avoid working with, as they will fear and loath maintaining code you wrote. The latter way you become a sought out team member, whom managers want to have in their team.
In my experience writing clean, well documented (and preferably self-documenting) code has always paid off. In fact I took almost every opportunity to help and teach others (as well as learning from them when they knew something better), and I hardly ever felt in danger of getting replaced by someone less capable than me. In fact, this usually helped the whole team work better and solve problems faster, which is every manager's dream - and a sensible manager doesn't want to replace members of a good team.
What do you think, does the well documented code is necessary?"
If I’ve learned one thing in this world it’s to never burn your bridges. The world has a funny way of realigning you with people you never thought you’d see again. Example: I’m currently working with one person from my childhood (who I randomly ran into & reconnected with on a back alley in downtown Los Angeles while I was a buyer - how insane?!), someone I knew as a teenager, someone I knew in college, someone I worked alongside at my previous job, and someone who was a previous employer. Wow. If that doesn’t show me to continue to spread kindness wherever I go and to whomever I meet, I don’t know what will. I am thoroughly & continuously grateful.
I think we're about to be revealed as the host of something special for local businesses wanting to play big.✨ It reminded us that the rather marvellous top floor of The Granary is available to hire from 7pm every weekday and each & every Saturday. We love moving furniture around, give us another excuse!
The essential elegance of the Prisma desk comes from a hint of mid-century modern styling, making its design a major statement in any office.
With us, you can make your workstations the best place it can be.
Btw I fixed my desk up and put all my figures and art up
Only issue is I'm in the basement and there's no natural light and it makes me really annoyed so I don't really use the desk too much
The key to being productive throughout the day is having a list of tasks already set before you start, that way you can hit the ground running. I use @asana to schedule out my tasks for the whole week.
