Rabash: The Last Great Kabbalist - Part 1
RABASH - Rav Baruch Shalom HaLevi Ashlag, was the son of the great Kabbalist Baal HaSulam. He related to his father as his teacher, and that wasn’t easy. He was a construction worker, paving roads, and also studied with his father every day in the early morning as is customary with Kabbalists.
He was a humble man, kept himself very hidden. In his youth he received rabbinical ordination from Rav Kook and Rav Sonnenfeld. He wrote what he heard from his father and gladly accepted the secular students for the study of Kabbalah because it was the time for correction.
There is no one more important in our world than Baal HaSulam and his son RABASH, they prepared the way for the system of correction for the world. Thanks to them, there is a paved road for advancement to the next stage of our development, the understanding and recognition of the upper world.
In his articles he expressed all of the inner work that a person must do in order to realize the purpose of life. We need to develop to the level of man that resembles the upper force, to rise above the ego, which divides us, and to unite. Baal HaSulam and RABASH prepared a medicine against the ego, which distances us from each other and causes separation, repulsion, and mutual hatred.
When people learn how to connect, they discover between them the upper force, a special force of love and connection. And then they begin to feel a new level of life, a higher harmony.
Thanks to Baal HaSulam and RABASH, the world to come opens up to us the next level of existence where we are all united. Of course, none of this belongs to religion. The wisdom of Kabbalah originates from the knowledge of the upper force only. In conclusion, these two great lights open the door to the upper world for us, whole, eternal, and enlightened.
My instagram word for today: dam (or more accurately, damn). This is a deep and reflective post for a change, which I hope has something for everyone to take away.
After a long-term relationship came to an end recently, a chance meeting meant I got to know someone that had been in my life for a while, only as a subtle acquaintance. The initial connection I felt for that person during that meeting blew my mind and the strong chemistry left us both more than a little surprised.
That connection was something I'd only experienced once before - many, many years previously. It unfortunately ended with the person leaving me for someone else on the eve of the day I was going to propose, sending me to a dark, demoralising place for a few years while I dealt with the demons that the experience created.
This time I was determined not to make the same mistake and lose that person. Unfortunately, yesterday it came to an abrupt and painful end. It turns out that the feelings I had were too overwhelming for them, they just weren't in a place in their life where they could accept that someone could be truly in love with them, plus they had their own dark and powerful demons to conquer. I am now trying to avoid that terrible, dark place again that we all have inside us, only time will tell if I'm emotionally strong enough for the challenge. "So what can we take away from all this?", you may ask. Well firstly, those extremely amazing and special people are out there. Don't look for them, they will find you when your paths are destined to cross. Secondly, be mindful that while you might be able to love them and bring them into your heart, they might not be in a place emotionally where they can do the same. Destiny can be cruel like that, but that short time connecting with that person can be a wonderful and incredible experience. In the end though it's going to hurt.
As I said at the beginning... Damn!
