I did it! I completed my DietBet and won! 5% down and feeling great! 💃🏻💲 This was a great lesson for me that it's not motivation (which is fleeting) but dedication that gets results. Although towards the end there was motivation to win, I did some things that would not be sustainable for me--like cutting out carbs, or spending my free time on a treadmill. Instead, to keep this momentum going I am going to make sure I plan ahead my meals so I'm not tempted to snack and start incorporating the exercises I do enjoy, like yoga and Zumba, into my daily routine.
Now I'm off to enjoy this delicious #carbalicious bread bowl. What do you enjoy doing to stay active?
I must admit, that socially, I have always viewed myself as less than others because of my size. For some reason, that never applied to physical challenges. Only in the last year or so have I ever looked at a physical feat and thought that I couldn't do it because I was fat. In 4th grade, I ran an extra lap after the mile in gym, because I finished early. In 8th grade, I did relay for life and walked 30miles in 24hours, more than all of my thin friends. In this picture, I was on an adventure trip in Israel, hiking and biking around the country. Last year, I auditioned for DCI (fancy intense marching band), and I failed, essentially because I was too fat. This was the first time I thought I couldn't accomplish a physical challenge because of my size, but even with those fears, I went. I showed up because I never wanted to regret not trying. 💪
I've been a little quiet because I've been sick the last few days. I'm feeling ok if I've got some Ibuprofen and Mucinex in me. 🤧😷
But anyway. Today at work my coworkers and I hosted a little IT appreciation lunch for them. I work for a fairly large nonprofit that has about 350 employees and our IT department is 3 system administrators and 1 director. So basically 3 1/2 people for 350 employees. They don't always get the recognition they deserve so this was the least we could do. And I couldn't help but make this awesome motherboard cake for them! I may have ate some candy too while making it but I left all the extras at work! #smallvictory ! #itappreciation#motherboardcake#donicethings

My next dietbet game starts in 4 days!!!! Link to join us is in my bio or www.dietbet.com/losinggravity ☺️ Pot is already over $5000! When we reach 500 players I will be doing a draw for $100 as well!! ❤️ #thesepicturesmightaswellofbeentakenwithahamsandwich#shitquality#sosorry
How dietbet works ➡️ You bet $35 that you can lose 4% of your body weight (total weight, not fat %) in 4 weeks.. if you are successful, you split the pot with the other winners! ☺💰 A great way to stay motivated, lose weight, gain support from others on similar journeys, and win money for losing weight!! The two pictures shown here are how you “weigh in” for the dietbet, and you do the same for weighing out at the end of the game. (You get a code word to verify that it’s you) OPEN WORLDWIDE! 🌎 It's just played in USD. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Answers to a common questions!
•Nobody sees your weigh in/weigh out pictures or your weight ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•You can join up to 14 days after the game starts, you will just have less time to lose the 4%
Always being the "fat girl" in school that failed gym class because I couldn't run the mile, these pictures of yesterdays 5K make me pretty proud.
The gentlemen in the pictures with me is my new friend Louis. Louis heard me tell another runner during the race that I maybe a slow runner but I am steady. Louis's wife and son had run ahead and Louis would walk and then run some to catch up to me. With just over a mile left he asked if he could run with me and would I help him run the rest of the race. What??? Me??? I would have never thought I would have someone ask me that. When we got not too far from the finish line Louis saw his son and you could tell his son was so proud of his dad. We ran the last mile and 1/4 and crossed the finish line together. As you can see we had a good time doing it!! When we finished gave each other a huge hug. Louis's wife and son came over to congratulate him on finishing and he introduced me to the two of them. He told his wife I helped him finish and I told him nope we did it together💙💛
I actually didn't expect the scale to go down today so this was pretty exciting! The little changes I'm making are paying off! Still have a ways to go to meet my #dietbet goal but I'm moving in the right direction! #fatgirlfedupsdietbet#graciesjourneydietbet
I got to lose 4 pounds by next Thursday but I’ll take more. I have a goal to meet and I’m hoping to get there. Monday I weigh-in @ the nutrition place then wensday is weigh in day for WW & Thursday is weighing for my DietBet. I’m going to push myself to get to this goal and past it.
Breakfast 🙌 A metric ton of lemony garlicky kale underneath a @vitalfarms egg covered in kickin chicken seasoning. 2 sausage patties, a banana nut muffin, and coffee round out this feast. My toddler will eat most of the muffin, some kale, and a sausage patty because everything tastes better off mommy’s plate.
Has anyone heard of this? It's actually legit and got me jumpstarted again on my weight loss journey.
I am sharing out of genuine excitement because I am down 18 lbs in 2 months. The best part? You can bet against yourself and win money based on your bet. I am in no way affiliated with this company, just a user who is really excited and I am set to win $2700 by next April.
You can also get $40 by using this link to sign up. https://hwage.co/53943/
