One of the most common questions we get: “how long will it take for me to get results by doing this workout?” Answer: That all depends! On your diet, genetics, biology, training history, hormones, etc but mostly your DIET. You will not lose fat unless you are in a sustained negative energy imbalance between intake and output. In other words, you have to take in fewer calories than you expend consistently.

We don’t advocate for FAD diets of any kind because they’re rigid, too many rules, and often can cut out food groups or macronutrients that you may love and that are necessary for your overall health. Nobody will stick with a diet that makes them miserable. Hello yo-yo dieting! Been there, done that. Choose a method of eating that you can stick with.

Prefer higher fat, low carb? Nice. How about carbs all day? Cool, drop your fats a bit. Want to try intermittent fasting because it fits your schedule better? Do it. Vegan or vegetarian? Awesome, just make sure you’re getting adequate protein and staying below your maintenance calories to lose weight.

When incorporating the most nutrient dense foods into my day, figs are one of my top food choices!

Had to switch to a new outfit as the other had me swimming in it. None of my old stuff fits me so squeezed into this that I had left over from years ago when I was more motivated to starve myself (single or dating folks with very strong negative opinions about weight)- not buying anything new and nice until 3-6 months from now. For adrenal meal induced Cushings this treatment works! Now off to figure out how to cook liver and make it edible:) To be able to eat and not bloat up and still loose weight is crazy amazing. During pregnancy and lactation, a mother's calcium stores may decrease.  Calcium plays a role in maintaining maternal bone health, and a lack of calcium can lead to lowered bone density, and increased mineral resorption. With this in mind, vitamin D also becomes a crucial vitamin along with calcium, as it plays a key role in calcium metabolism. 
Fortunately this can be addressed through diet modification by consuming calcium and vitamin D rich foods.

What are the appropriate diet reccomendations? 🌺An increase in dietary fibre intake; it was reported that children with higher fibre intake were less likely to suffer from constipation. 🌺Some children may be intolerant to cow milk protein, and may have to experiment with a diary free diet. 🌺A balanced diet of grains, fruits and vegetables. 🌺Carbohydrates (especially sorbitol) contained in prune, pear and apple can cause increased frequency and water content in stools. With this in mind, water and hydration are important factors when managing constipation. 🌺It is recommended by pediatrics that a child’s fibre intake is  0.5 g/kg/day (to a maximum of 35 g/day)  An intake of fibre that is lower than the recommended amount has been shown to increase the risk for chronic constipation in children.

Guys. I am finally feeling better after being glutened on Thanksgiving! I prepared all gluten free food but alas, not in a gluten free kitchen. Now I know how sensitive I am. Starting the next day I was extremely depressed, itritable, irrational. Things like spontaneously crying. Not to mention terrible brain fog! My poor sweet family has been so kind and patient with me. I’m finally feeling like myself again, that was over 10 days of misery! I know a lot of people see going gluten free as a silly thing, but to get my life back? That speaks volumes. I will never take a bite of gluten again in my life and I scoff at the fact that some people somehow find that unfortunate! #glutenisthedevil

Using our cauliflower base, I slowly cooked all our left over onions (red and white) in some ghee, stirring away on a very low heat. It felt quite therapeutic. I then spread these over my part cooked cauliflower-base, scattered fresh thyme and some Montagnolo that was on offer @Waitrose 
Tom Tom devoured it (unfortunately, as I would like to have had it!). Alex said it was spicy - too much pepper?

Nice work Daddy 👨🏼‍🍳When we embarked on the GAPS diet, we really missed the carb section of each meal. We had been pasta fiends... mash, couscous, beans etc. We felt genuinely bereft 😳. But your parameters change and now I don't even think twice about a supper with home made bangers and a massive salad loaded with herbs, home made sauerkraut, raw Brussel sprouts (which were surprisingly good!) and a zesty dressing. And I genuinely feel so much more energetic 👍
