There is something very exciting and rewarding about growing your own food. Sprouting your food is a simple way of creating growth when you do not have the space or time for a veggie patch. Personally I love growing a relationship with food and find it very exciting to eat food which I have cared for. This photo is the result of sprouting Lentils. Lentils are a great legume to use as they sprout quickly to give you fast results. However you can sprout most nuts, seed, beans and grains. The process of ‘Sprouting’ activates the item for even more nutrition and promotes the growth of digestive enzymes in the food.
How to Sprout Lentils:
1. Soak 2 tablespoons of dried lentils overnight in a jar
2. Rinse lentils the next morning
3. Cover lentils with a cheese cloth
4. Rinse 4-5 times throughout the day for 4 days
5.Around day 4 they should be well sprouted and ready to consume
How to eat them: They are the perfect accessory to add to a salad, wellness bowl or avo toast
Real talk time - IBS - do you suffer?
As some know, I’ve been diagnosed with severe IBS-C, as my colon doesn’t produce sufficient water for digestion. The drugs I take daily very much help, but yesterday proved I still have some intolerances that have an effect on me. This photo is last night in such pain -> this morning.
Saturday evening I had 🍕 and was out for a lovely lunch yesterday too. Nothing mental or crazy, no huge amounts of food and nothing unusual. But something didn’t agree with me - so yesterday I resembled a small whale 🐋

These beautiful cookies are easy to make, well balanced with delicious sweet cranberries, full of healthy ingredients and keep you full! If you don't have both types of Dad's Oats (Traditional and Quick) it's ok to use just one type although the consistency will obviously differ.
* ¼ cup coconut oil, melted
* ¼ cup honey
* 1 cup Dad's Oats - Traditional Oats * 1 cup Dad's Oats - Quick Oats * ⅔ cup unsweetened, dried cranberries
* ⅔ cup pumpkin seeds
* ¼ cup ground flaxseed
* 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (cinnamon nutmeg cloves and ginger) * ½ teaspoon sea salt
* ½ cup pumpkin puree
* 2 eggs, beaten
1. Preheat oven to 180 deg. Cel. Line a baking sheet.
2. In a small bowl melt coconut oil and honey
3. In a large bowl combine both kinds of oats, cranberries, pumpkin seeds, ground flax, pumpkin pie spice and salt. Add pumpkin puree, eggs and warmed coconut oil and honey. Stir until fully combined.
4. Drop about ¼ cup sized scoops of the mixture onto a cookie sheet and flatten (cookies won't spread while baking). Bake for about 15-20 minutes until edges are lightly browned.

Current location: Fiji 🇫🇯. Food is INSANELY expensive here in Fiji. It's Switzerland/San Fransico prices, I kid you not.
My current financial state is ready and open for great financial wealth (😂 fucking broke), because we moved like 5 times since the beginning of the year, got surgery... and I'm not gonna whine anymore about what happened but the result is that right now healthy food and my favorite gluten-free vegan combo is out of the question, or if it is, it's too spicy so it hurts anyway. So one fun fact about endometriosis (an inflammatory disease) you probably didn't know, is that the tissue that is supposed to grow inside the uterus (the endometrium), and which grows outside the uterus (aka endometriosis), doesn't ONLY grow outside of the uterus. It can grow on your intestines, on the rectum, on basically all the other organs of the abdominal cavity: I don't want to get into nasty 💩 details but it means that it can hurt A LOT, when you poop. It also causes IBS. So sometimes it's a bit like, if I eat "well" (vegan and GF) I get diarrhea. If I eat "not well", I don't have diarrhea but then it really hurts when I poop.
This is an incurable chronic disease. Lovely. 🤣No wonder we get depression with this thing!
On a more serious note though, to all my #endosisters out there, you are not alone! This is a taboo thing to talk about, but many of us go through this. #solidarity 🤝💖✨

One of my friends has food sensitivities to gluten, dairy, and chicken egg. She provided all this food for an event at her house. So everything you see here is free of those foods (except the cheese with pepperoni slices, which was only there for guests).
She's not a doctor, chef, or any position that has to do with health or food. Point is that it doesn't take having a degree to make your diet allergen-free and delicious. Just the willingness to put in the effort, and the more you learn the easier it gets. If she can do it, you certainly can too.
