Chasing waterfalls at #KondalillaNationalPark , add that to your #summer to-do list. #Kondalilla is home to several short walking tracks suitable for varying fitness levels. Meander through lush rainforest, go for a leisurely swim in the watering holes and become one with nature as you explore the natural beauty of this local treasure. To make it to the bottom of the #KondalillaFalls , continue on the Kondalilla Falls circuit where you will descend down to the valley for the best view of the waterfall. Do you have a travel horror story?
Mine has to be when I was going to swim with humpback whales in Tonga for my birthday last year.
So I arrived in Tonga (via Fiji) and was asked for a visa at immigration (I have Indonesian passport and basically need a pre-arranged visa to enter most countries. Somehow I completely forgot to get one for Tonga, this never happened before, sooo sooo soooo silly of me 🙊). I said I didn't have one and was sent back to Fiji to get it. That was fine because I don't need a visa to enter Fiji. .
Arrived in Fiji, was told that I couldn't get into the country because I was "refused entry" in Tonga and had to be "deported" back to Sydney the next day!! These terms made me feel so uneasy!! They then took me to their detention centre.
They took away the key to my room, my passport, my phone, and recorded my belongings and money so they wouldn't be held accountable if I lost anything!! Gosh! This was the complete opposite of my heavenly experience in Fiji the year before!! I had to beg them to let me use their computer so I could contact my friend back in Sydney on Facebook because I was seriously freaking out on my own!
This was going to be my 4th time travelling solo, think I got a bit put off, lol!! Made it back to Sydney safe and sound the next day, and these days I triple quadruple check any visa requirements 😂
Love this view of Sunshine Beach from Noosa National Park, April 2015 😍 .
