Hello, @codylerephoto here wrapping up the first day of my takeover with a sunset from Badlands National Park. This sunset was from a warm November night and I had almost given up on it. If you like my work, follow me at @codylerephoto!
“If you’re really listening, if you’re awake to the poignant beauty of the world, your heart breaks regularly. In fact, your heart is made to break; its purpose is to burst open again and again so that it can hold evermore wonders.” -Andrew Harvey | 📸: @heysirahsirah .
Winter is no excuse not to hike, amiright??!
@kelliepalmer9 with the win for 1. Hiking in snow 😱
2. Rocking that BLCK HLLS sweatshirt ⚡️
3. Tagging me in it so I can see the shirt out in the wild 💚

I always look forward to sleeping in on my days off, but then inevitably Lucy wakes me up at the same time anyway, I pretend to sleep in until 8 AM, and then I miss the sunrise, which has become one of my favorite moments of my day. Anyone else have the same dilemma?
A snowflake is one of God’s most fragile creations, but look what they can do when they stick together. .
Last night, I met with a group of local Black Hills creatives and we talked social media. And business. And life. If you don’t have a creative pod, a posse, a tribe, then make one. Find the people that will stick by you. It was beyond wonderful seeing human faces rather than screens and posts and newsfeeds. We talked, laughed, and all felt more empowered after than when we walked in. The real-life aspect can never replace the digital community aspect (as much as I love my followers 😂😘). Thanks to @emily_costopoulos for hosting the get together. ✨
