Day 26, The Moment I Thought Was The Saddest: Kerchak's Death, from Tarzan (1999)
Most people would probably pick the death of Bambi's mom or Mufasa as their saddest. And I do agree that those are some good picks. But to me, it was the death of this great Silverback that I consider the saddest. Throughout the movie, Kerchak doesn't like Tarzan. He barely tolerates him and well he allows Tarzan to stay, he refuses to call him a son. But seeing Tarzan come home to save their family impresses Kerchak, but not before being shot that mortally wounds him. What makes this scene so sad is that he apologizes for not seeing Tarzan as a member of the family, entrust Tarzan the role of leader and finally calls Tarzan his son. Then, he dies. It's sad not only because we see someone dying with his loved ones around as he tries to redeem himself, but because Tarzan will never get the father/son bonding now that he's earned Kerchak's trust. Truly heartbreaking😢😭 #31daydisneychallenge#Tarzan#disneytarzan#tarzandisney#kerchak#disneyscene#disneyscenes
Nella vita cambiano spesso tante cose, ma non ci si dimentica mai di chi siamo nel profondo, anche se questo vuol dire rivangare il passato. A volte sono proprio certe presenze del nostro passato i pilastri del nostro presente e futuro.
