Happy first night of Hanukkah!! Let's play spot the fire hazards 😂. I may have been raised on Christmas cookies and stockings hung with care but my children get all that and eight crazy nights 🕎✡️🕎. One of the perks of coming from a dual religion household 🙌🏼. I'm going to attempt to make latkes tonight.. I should also consider switching out those stock photos with ones of our actual family 😂. -R
Our #holiday#hometour is up on the blog today (direct link in bio)! It’s filled with classic red and greens with touches of greenery and plaid. As I was writing the blog post, I quickly realized that much of my #Christmas decor is from the thrift store! This #vignette is one of my favorite little moments in our holiday decor this year. To make your own vignette, follow the rule of threes and arrange three items of varying heights. Use objects in colors that jive well together. This arrangement is simple yet festive – a vintage crate, a thrifted wreath, a scrap of thrifted plaid fabric and an empty box wrapped in cheerful paper. I'm obsessed with all things plaid this year, are you?
Have you ever used mica powder? I used some from @amyhowardhome on some letters and I'm obsessed with the finished product! I'll be posting a tutorial on the blog this week! But for now I wanted to show this little niche in our stairway. In case you couldn't tell...DIY is life 😂
Had a legit Canadian snow storm today 🌨❄ Was stuck in traffic for an hour both before and after work. Fun times! Aaaaanyway. If you missed yesterday's post link is still in bio 👆 Happy Tuesday 🖤

A few years ago, in fact since the first Christmas we had as a married couple, my husband and I started a new tradition of bringing baked goods to friends on Christmas day. When our daughters were born this tradition became even more meaningful since they now participate. Today more than ever I cherish this tradition. It is good to gift presents, but it's not the most important. I know it is always hard to choose what to give to others for Christmas, and if we are totally honest, we rarely are 100% happy with what we receive, so instead of giving something in the hopes that it doesn't end up stored somewhere why don't we give something that feeds others' bodies and souls? I am pretty sure those kind of gifts are always well received: Food will always be the best way to show our love to others 💕 If you are interested, on the blog I shared a post where you can download a couple of cute gift tags for this kind of presents 😊 Just type "Navidad" on the search box and boom! You can download them in English or Spanish. Link on my profile 😉⠀
