One of my absolute favourite trilogies, I thought I might share with you because I'm about to dive into Laini Taylor's new book once I'm done my current contemporary. I know not everyone loves her writing style because she's very poetic and descriptive, which can be a bit boring for some people. But I personally love it, to get swept away in her prose, and the atmosphere that she builds is like no other author. Definitely check it out if you're looking for a unique fantasy series that has unparalleled world building and quite literally sweeps you off your feet.
This time yesterday I was on my way to the Laini Taylor signing in Bristol Waterstones. I've been an admirer of her work for a little while now and although I tend to find her writing complex, I do really enjoy her amazing world's she conjures up. After acquiring her limited UK Daughter of Smoke and Bone first editions back in January, I was over the moon to have her sign them yesterday to me along with my blue sprayed Strange the Dreamer edition. As there was only a handful of people there, I was able to talk with her briefly and she's just so lovely. If you want to check out my photo with her, I've uploaded it over on my main account: @evenahguarts. 💙
It's been an incredible few days to be able to meet two authors only half an hour away from where I live. It's a shame not all authors come here, but I'm so grateful for the two that have stopped by this week. The last time I met two authors in the space of a week was two years ago so by that measure it'll be another two years before I meet anyone else, but hopefully that isn't the case! As an aspiring author, it fills me with so much inspiration when I attend an author event and tend to get all shaky and awestruck. Does anyone else get like this? 🙈
Can you believe it's already April? I keep saying this every time I swear; 2017 is going so fast. Here's my March wrap-up! I've got a post up on my blog about it - link in bio! 🖱📚

Overall I didn't have a great reading month as I felt very slumpy and couldn't get into my reads. I had to take two different photos as I wasn't sure I'd finish my last read but snuck it in last night. So happy to be done with these reads and hopefully have a better reading month! I'm going to buy a few books this weekend so hopefully they arrive in time to binge this month (coming from the states), but otherwise, I can't wait to start Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor. What's everyone reading this month? 📖✨
