As I finish up my Intern year I wanted to take a second to congratulate all the incoming interns and medical students! The road is long and tough but it will be worth it. Remember why you choose it. Hard work and good character are going to take you much further in medical school and in residency than any test/board score. Be good to each other, be good to your patients and try to remember that even on your hardest day that someone is going through something tougher. Take care of yourselves. Make time for your family and friends. Find healthy breaks from studying. Don't be too hard on yourself. Remember you are at new at this. We've all been in the same position. You don't know certain things because you've never seen them. That is okay. This is the reason we train for so many years. Don't let a mean attending/senior resident define how your year will go. Build friendships, build relationships with patients and when you fall out of love with medicine for a little while (it will happen when you're run down and exhausted) make sure you have other things to fall back on. They will get you through your rut and you will fall in love with medicine all over again. Proud of you guys! Good luck! #medicine#medicalschool#medstudent#intern#residentlife#residency#doctors#happydoctors#congrats#worthit#live#love#life
One in four women are experiencing symptoms of premature hair loss as reported by the American Hair Loss Association. To prevent these symptoms, try changing a few lifestyle habits. For example, never tie your hair if it's wet. This can create fungal infection on your scalp which will result in hair loss.
When Are Doctors Too Old To Practice?
"Nearly a fourth of physicians in America are 65 or older, and 40% of these are actively involved in patient care, according to the American Medical Association. Experts at the AMA have suggested that they be screened lest they pose a risk to patients. An AMA working group is considering guidelines."
