I never fully realized how drastically my appearance had changed as I’ve cultivated a consistently healthier lifestyle over the last 5 years. I’m 150 lbs now, I think the photo on the left was around 195-200 lbs. It’s really been about slowly changing my mindset to not see food or exercise the same way. Exercise is no longer a means to an end, but an enjoyable de-stressor, and while I still enjoy good food, I recognize that it is PRIMARILY a means to an end. I challenge everyone to make one small, healthy change to your daily life this next week and stick with it!! #doctorsorders#babysteps#fitness#healthylifestyle
🍏I am so grateful for my health and the body I’ve been given to live in while living on this earth. My body is a gift that I care for, the best I can, because I only get one chance to take care of myself. 🍏I am thankful for the knowledge I have to keep my body healthy. Without this, I am not sure where I would be. I am so grateful for the opportunity to share this knowledge with whoever will listen, in hopes of creating many more happy and healthy bodies around the world. #HealthIsOurGreatestWealth
CHOP AND CHAT
Once a week I do a biopsy list where I get to chop out skin lesions from patients. I love it because I get a lot more time to talk to my patients throughout the procedure and really get to know them. Some patients are nervous so this helps keep them distracted. Anyone who knows me knows I love to talk, and the best bit is my patients can’t can’t run away from my rubbish chat while they’re being operated on 😂 One patient even called me and my assisting nurse “Laurel and Hardy” the other day!
