We pair pumpkin and chicory root to promote better digestion in many of our recipes. Chicory Root promotes the growth of natural intestinal bacteria, while Pumpkin is rich in fiber. Fiber assists with the movement of food through the digestive system and prolongs satiety, crucial for weight management. Resolution #5 - Vaccinations
Ensure your dog is registered with a reputable veterinary surgery and take them for regular check ups to keep vaccinations up to date to help them stay in the best of health.
Vet visits are also a perfect time to ask for advice, update your pet’s food, or get an expert opinion on any behavioural issues.
Paws for thought - At Different Dog we like to ensure that every meal is full of nutrients, so we add salmon oil to every meal. Salmon oil is rich in omega 3 fats and Vitamin D. It also has natural anti-inflammatory properties which make it beneficial for skin, coat, digestive and joint health. 🐟 #salmonoil#pawsforthought#Differentdog#dogfood#fresh#healthy#omega3
It's not always easy; but I don't want to be the asshole who feeds their kids bags/cans of 15+ chemicals/preservatives. I have not seen any real food on the shelf for dogs yet; if someone knows a brand that I can afford and has absolutely 0 chemicals; i.e. Under listed Ingredients: chicken breast; carrots; vegetables. And Period; then I will buy; but so ever everything has at least 5 BS chemicals. Also don't tell me to buy stuff you wouldn't eat but still give to your kids.
Because we all eat the same thing. I don't even add salt to my food anymore. No point if I want to share #crapload#ofwork#cookingfordogs#freshmade#homecooked#dogfood#theywhine#sonoisy#sometimesicantstand#them#eatup#and#letgettowork#please#andstop#pooping#alloverthecarpet#because#itsraining#idontknow#howiendedup#with#twodogs oh that's right some bitch left all of us to figure out how to do all these on our own. Fuck you and your fucking mommy and daddy take care of you fucking rot when my kids; (yours abandon) get sick. I curse you, all of you who were involved making me taking care of them and ran back to mommy and daddy CURSE YOU and all of your ancestors; family; offsprings; restaurant; business; and your younger siblings until they get mauled over. All you got to do is fucking serve fucking people and abandon us; how fucking easy; your daddy and mommy still cook food for you fucking loser. I BECOME THE DEVIL AND AWAIT FOR THE SOULS OF YOUR FAMILY I CURSE YOU
Check out our retail store!.... Feeding a higher quality food leads to a longer and healthier life for most pets, with lower veterinarian bills. The cost of the higher quality food over the life of the pet will be off-set by lower veterinarian bills and reduced risk of health issues that are a result of improper nutrition.
We have been trying out different foods for our cats and dogs. Our aim was to find the best option in terms of nutrition, cost and preparation time.
We also took advice from vets and other people who have mini-shelters.
Here are pros and cons of foods we tried:
🍖Cooking rice and mixing with mince chicken pet food. This was time consuming all round- cooking two large pots of rice everyday (no gas supply, so we used the wood stove), defrosting the mince (it is sold frozen), mixing the two. This was a sticky mixture which made washing up very difficult (water at the shelter comes from a water pump). Also, the quality of the mince chicken that is made for pet food isn’t too good.
🍖Wet food pouches and canned pet food is very expensive for so many animals. 🍖 Mixing cooked rice with dry or wet pet food- this meant that the animals were not getting all the necessary nutrients from the pet food because they were eating less of it and filling up on rice. Some of our dogs have gained too much weight due to the extra carbohydrates! Also, we had to get deliveries from two different places: large bags of rice from one place, pet food from another place= double the delivery costs.
We decided that the best food for our cats and dogs is dry pet food. This means that they will be getting all the vitamins and minerals that they need, it is easy to serve, it can be delivered in one monthly delivery.
We ordered 6 bags (66kg) of cat food and 3 bags (36kg) of dog food.
1 bag of cat food (11kg): 590uah ($21)
1 bag of dog food (12kg): 440uah ($16)
We chose the Ukrainian make of pet food “Club4Paws” because it has good quality to the value.
We would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on this matter 😺🐶🐾 Thank you for all your help and support!!
