***** UPDATE ***** *Please remember: If you are interested in adopting, we only serve the states of NC, SC, VA, GA, MD & DC. We make exceptions, however, for bonded pairs, special needs and senior dogs.
Well, we thought Froggie had found her forever home but the stars did not line up. Great news for those who showed interest but were told she was pending adoption. These things happen but it’s for the best as we want both adopter and pup to be happy together.
There are also a few new things to share about Froggie. First, she is now heartworm free! Yahoo! And, drum roll please… she no longer requires a 6-ft fence in her next yard. She’s been taught not to scale the fence, but mostly she just wants to do her business and return to her people. Here’s more:
Age: 3 years old
Weight: 20 pounds
Demeanor: Affectionate, sweet, high energy/active, aggressive towards dogs, playful, curious, quiet/mellow (when being held)
Likes: People (not tested with children), giving kisses (this is a BIG one), being held, sitting in laps, belly rubs, playing tug-o-war, eating treats, chewing bones
Dislikes: Dogs (and most likely cats)
Manners: For the most part, she is housebroken but does have occasional accidents. Okay on leash, knows verbal command “sit”
Fenced Yard Required: Preferred
Tidbits: Adorable Froggie is super lovable with people but dislikes dogs (and likely cats) so she must be an only pet. Since she came from a breeder, Froggie doesn’t know a lot about manners but she is learning. Foster mom says she’s smart and will pick up these things quickly and would make a wonderful companion for someone who likes to work with and interact with dogs. A great way to bond with Froggie is to be her teacher and friend.
