In the religious traditions of India, elephants symbolize royalty, majesty, strength, divinity, abundance, fertility, intelligence, keenness, destructive power, and grasping power. The souls in elephants are said to be highly evolved and ripe for evolution. The Hindu Puranas suggest that elephants in the past had wings. Elephants appearing in dreams to mothers before the birth of an important person or sage is a common cultural theme of India. An elephant is kingly. Hence, the head of an elephant herd or the royal elephant of a temple goes by the epithet, gajaraj, king of the elephants. Since they represent royalty, power and strength, in the past India had dynasties named after elephants. For example, a dynasty named Gajapathis (lord of the elephants) ruled parts of southern and eastern India.
From the writings of Megasthanese, a Greek ambassador in the court of Chandragupta Maurya, we know that kings employed people who excelled in the art of capturing, taming and domesticating wild elephants. Elephant care was an important subject for which there were treatises. The Vedas do not directly refer to the elephants, but we know that elephants were native to India and existed in the subcontinent even before the Vedic civilization.
Indra's vehicle is a white, elephant known as Airavath, which according to the Puranas emerged during the churning of the oceans by gods and demons. It was given to Indra as a gift.
Ganesha, the lord of the Shiva ganas, has the head of an elephant. His large head symbolizes knowledge, intelligence and thinking power. His trunk represents grasping power, while his large ears denote his attentiveness. In ancient India, elephants played an important role in warfare. 🕉DM if you are interested in purchasing any of these pieces or for more information🙏🐘 💥Brass Ganesh statues are all made in Nepal. What kind of life is this? The term "how would you like to live in a bathtub for the rest of your life" has been used many times to describe the immense boredom and suffering captive Orcas experience living in a swimming pool.
This video was filmed after a Seaworld show was over , and one can only speculate their frustration, but one thing is for certain, this whale isn't happy or thriving.
Most fish aquariums have something in the water to resemble a natural environment. However the most intelligent marine mammals on earth stare at concrete walls and zero stimulation in their unnatural environments. Zero.
No wonder they chew on the tanks, fight with other orcas, blow bubbles for hours in a corner, and float lifelessly for hours at a time.
Even prisoners behind bars pace back and forth. Over time, they get a blank emotionless look in their eyes and that's exactly what these highly intelligent, emotional, family oriented living beings experience.
We humans do not own animals. They are not for sale, and they're not ours to impregnate either.
What we have taken from them is EVERYTHING.
We robbed wild animals the right to live as a wild animal.
The term "Animal Rights" is not something we give to animals.
It's simply giving back what was theirs in the first place.
Please boycott all businesses that exploit wild animals for profit.
Captivity is not living. Its prison and not even criminals want to be in prison.
Please have compassion for these innocent victims and end this business by not financially supporting it.

Finally got my kayak out on the ocean! Got startled ( and missed the photo) by a manatee surfacing next to me. Saw a dolphin chasing down mullet, attempted to get some photos of jelly fish, and got some serious sun burn. Kayaking around Matlacha was awesome.
