"I am a loan officer by trade. There is a lot of networking amongst the financial community. I just called an old boss and he created an opening for me to be a loan officer. I worked every other Saturday and 10-7 shift. My kiddo was in elementary school and I missed a lot of time being there for him. We were laid off A year ago. At that time I decided I no longer wanted to be an employee. So I created Start Financial and now I have so much freedom to be at every football and basketball game with my son. I also get to take him to school and pick him up and be present. He just turned 13 on Sunday and nothing is more important to me than being his mom ♥️ I have transitioned into financial coaching now. This calling stems from my own experiences and how I made a lot of smart financial decisions that help me be dependent on myself. I want everyone to be able to do what they love and live a happy life and financial freedom is the foundation to achieve this goal."
I’m going to be going off the instagrid for turkey day to spend intentional time with family...and, you know, pie. But before I do, I couldn’t leave you without showing off these ADORABLE brothers!! Aren’t they seriously the cutest?!😍😍😍 I hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving wherever you may be, friend! 😘
I’ve always loved going to my Mom’s house for the holidays and doing craft projects! I grew up sitting at the kitchen table cross stitching ornaments, making aprons with Christmas fabric, beading styrofoam balls into ornaments, making soaps and candles. The list could go on forever. ⠀
I have a craft room that rivals @Hobbylobby and I couldn’t tell you the last time I got glue on my hands. Ahhhh, remember the #smokingglueguns ? ⠀
I found @willowdaygram the other day on Pinterest and fell in love. I love this simple wreath of things found outside. Maybe I’ll find some things tomorrow and do something crafty. ⠀
Do you have crafty holiday traditions? ⠀
Spent the day baking with @ashkress today, while Jon joined us in the kitchen to make up a batch of his favorite cranberry chutney. #equality Want to see one of our bakes? Check @thealiciabruce and prepare to wish you were one of our holiday houseguests. Sorry, boo.
Day 20- I am thankful for this cat. I've had her for 15 years and she has always been a grumpy old lady even as a kitten. I once saved her from a storm drain right before a thunderstorm- she had been stranded down there for three days. #cat#crazycatlady
My to-do list was extra long today. Like overwhelming large and even though I didn’t complete everything I wanted to complete, I tackled 95% of it! Guys, it was a big list! Sometimes there just doesn’t feel like there is enough time in the day. Am I Right? Double tap if you agree!
My brother is home and I haven’t seen him since early September so it was good to see him for a bit today while I continued working... but I do hate that. My to do list shouldn’t take precedence over family. I’ve worked extra hard this week so that tomorrow and most of Friday I can relax and not have to worry about what needs to get done, and instead can relax with the people I care about. But I wish I would’ve put work aside for the time I was with him. 🦃
Every Thanksgiving, I get in the mood to watch some Lord of the Rings. I watched Fellowship the other day and this quote has really stuck with me the past few days. Here’s to trying to be a better steward of my time.
"Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation." -Brian Tracy. #thanksgiving#inspiration
