Sunrise at The Twelve Apostles was a surreal highlight on our drive along Great Ocean Road. We will remember the road trip for its aquamarine coastlines, rainy beech forests, and monumental stone cliffs.
Solo-parenting is always having a carrier strapped around your waist... solo parenting is planning every single shower for 3 years... solo parenting is taking excessive amounts of photos of "those moments" because the need to share it with someone is indeed there... solo parenting is rough.
But solo parenting is also oh so rewarding. It's intense and and beautiful. It's wiping every single tear of those little cheeks and it's receiving every little cuddle in there. Life is good ✨
A Victoria (sponge) Sunrise served with a cup of tea ☕️ What better way to start the day 💕🌴✨

The long jetty // In fact this jetty at Catherine Hill Bay in NSW is the last remaining coal loading jetty of its kind in Australia. What a view! ✨

I’ve often wondered - what is it about motherhood that turns you into a writer? Today, I may have some clarity. Maybe it’s got to do with the fact that suddenly you feel so much for someone. This tiny human being has the power to change you. She has the power to fill you up with selfless love that you never thought you were capable of. And all of a sudden, you realise you have so much to give, so much to share.
Maybe it’s because all your emotions are heightened. On some days you feel so much of joy that you feel like you’ll burst with happiness and on others you feel so sad and empty. Maybe it’s because you realise your true potential as a human being. You realise the power of your body to turn a tiny cell into a fully-grown, walking, talking wonder.
Maybe it’s because motherhood stretches you to your maximum, pushes you so much that you’re ok staying up 365 nights in a row and march to work the next day, without feeling an ounce of remorse.
I am a writer, I can put together a decent sentence. But today, I feel like I am failing. I am struggling to pen my thoughts, because I am feeling so much. I doubt any of this makes sense. Because I am feeling all this and so much more.
Happy Birthday Meera. And thank you for being born to me. I love you.
Perth somewhere that was home to me for 5 years!! The first time I saw it was when I moved there. I fell in love with it right away. Still have so many friends from there I miss dearly. •
Budget Travel tip #2 : Washing- For ages I would just pay and get it done but at times I have even paid as much as $15 for a small load of washing. I don't even want to work out how much it has cost me. So new plan. Whenever I have two days in one place I will now wash it myself with whatever soap I have on hand. Just make sure the water isn't too hot or you will wash the colour out. Getting washing done can be time consuming and this is turning out much more convenient. No waiting around for cycles to finish plus im saving $$'s
