It’s so important to be mindful of judging others and judging ourselves for the choices we make based on how we nourish our bodies. I believe the time has come to eliminate labels. What I’ve come to realize while exploring 101 difference diet programs and staples of eating is this...I align myself with food, movement Patterns, people, circumstance , the work that I do In this world with how I wanna feel on a day to day basis. Yes there are days where i overeat, stress eat, eat too late, miss a meal, or eat something that I know I’ll be hurting later but the only true way to know is through experience... and it’s my experience. C H A N G E • It is said that the only certain things in life are death, taxes, and now change!
Some of us are more comfortable with change than others; while some thrive on it, others dig their heels in and use avoidance behaviours. Like most things though it takes practice, learning and experience.
If you had asked me 5-6 years ago I would’ve said I detested change, while now I look forward to new opportunities, love to test my ability to be flexible and adaptable and really just own it! This is because i have had practice in it! I have had to experience change in all areas of my life but in particular in my career space, which is where most of my learning in this space has occurred. At 33 I have already had the following roles; retail assistant, tutor, dance school director, dance teacher, call centre operator, logistics administrator, secondary teacher, professional teaching fellow, executive assistant, recruitment manager, professional development facilitator, Pilates instructor and life coach.
Change is inevitable! Look for the positives, the opportunities and learn from it...and sit on your throne and own it like a boss 💋 #melhwellness

I became inspired this evening to post this picture of a practice that symbolizes much of what I’m currently transitioning into, which is the fear of falling... I have discussed this fear with my handstand practice before, but as I move currently to making my love of yoga full time, this fear comes to mind. I look at my handstand practice as a reflection of what may be going on off my mat. It’s one of the most meditative experiences, but it hard to find if the minds not still. It’s been a very interesting week inverted, which has brought to light my fear of failure. My intention in turn, is find playfulness in this portion of the journey... It’s incredibly humbling and pinpoints my awareness of how my yoga is a quite the reflection of my current state of being. The fear of failure, or falling is a very normal human experience, but in the end for me, I keep working at, inverting and exploring this fear... .

Too many actors on social... They are playing to your hearts trying to be endearing just to make a buck. Listen.... Trust yourself. No one knows what’s best for you, more than you do... The beauty of life is figuring things out... getting out there, getting your hands dirty, bumping your head etc.... We got “influencers” showing their perfect lives, making you all think by doing what they do, you’ll have that life too.... It’s all smoke in mirrors, don’t fall for it... Use your mind, and trust yourself.... That’s it. ✌🏾

Sometime we take too much time trying to plan and wait for the right moment. The right moment will never just show up. The right moment is when you decide it is. The right moment is now. Don’t waste the precious limited time you have. When you take action it leads to more action and opens doors to opportunities you could of never imagined or planned for. Just go for it. What do you really have to lose.
