"Elie Rogent, the Director of the Barcelona Architecture School once said of Gaudi, 'We have given this academic title either to a fool or a genius. Time will show.' Gaudi has designed a lot of buildings, this one here is Sagrada Familia, is the one to which he devoted more than 40 years of his life. I am traveling to Barcelona pretty often and every time I pass this church there is more and more details to get lost in. For me it's 100% clear, Gaudi is and was a genius and each of his buildings is as beautiful and unique as the nature, and that's because nature was his template!" #thediscoverer
Happy first day of Chanukah!! Last night my mom made latkes, I taught my niece the Dreidel song (which is a perfect song to bounce a baby to), and Doug Jones won Alabama. By popular demand: I give you the first of many #ShotFromALyft shots
↠ Snow Day ↞ ❄️ So it snowed in Demark yesterday, really brings out the landscape 👌🏼😅 Kidding aside, this image was taken on my trip to Austria last winter with my buddy @mathiasskaarup , which was also the last time I had experienced snow before yesterday. Finally getting a bit into a Chistmassy mood ✨
Just as you don’t know how you managed to be conscious, how you manage to grow and shape this body of yours. That doesn’t mean to say you’re not doing it. Equally you don’t know how the universe shines the stars, constellates the constellations, and galactifies the galaxy’s you don’t know. But that doesn’t mean to say that you aren’t doing it just the same way just as you breathing not knowing how you breathe
Central Park at dusk has got to be one of the most beautiful places in New York. Somehow the vibrant fall colours were still hanging on despite the cold, and I spent a couple of hours just aimlessly wandering the paths. Every so often you come across a scene that just cries out to be captured - this was one of those
It's been so long since I lived somewhere that truly gets cold that I'd forgotten what it's like to deal with weather that seems determined to drive you indoors. I don't think I'll be relocating any time soon, but it was lovely to have a brief reminder! And yes @kaptain.kenny I'm aware that this would be better if I was sitting on that bench 😂
How about you? Real winter or endless summer?
Unlike what I typically post but this is one of my favorite shots I took in Shanghai ... you guys had so many reasons as to why you love traveling and I decided to share another one - just the sheer beauty of having a 12 hour layover with zero plans: left the airport, took the train to the city center and aimlessly walked around with no agenda and no knowledge of anything (especially the whole no access to social media thing)! There were so many incredible blocks like this one we even walked through and tried to go eat in a local restaurant and got kindly denied because of the language barriers 😩 probably a good thing anyway or else I’d end up eating something that should never end up in my mouth lolol. #shanghai#shanghaichina#AlphaCollective
“Trust me, it's paradise. This is where the hungry come to feed. For mine is the generation that travels the globe and searches for something we haven't tried before. So never refuse an invitation, never resist the unfamiliar, never fail to be polite & never outstay the welcome. Just keep your mind open and suck in the experience— And if it hurts, you know what? It's probably worth it.” - this is from one of my favourite books ‘The Beach’ by Alex Garland. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend you do.
