💙 Q&A POST! 💙 Here it is, finally (after accidentally deleting it 😄). It's only going to be two or three parts because I tried to answer as accurate as possible. So here's part one:
🔹Did I buy a one-way plane ticket?
Yes I did! Depending on where you're from you either have to have a ticket back/to somewhere else or a special amount of money on your bank account to support yourself.
🔹 How do I manage money when I don't know when I'll come back? Do I have a budget?
I had about 6.000€ before I came here but I'll work/do wwoofing (organic farm work) every now and then. 🔹How much was my van?
It was 5.400 NZ $ but it is self-contained which means that I can use all campgrounds (the free and cheap ones are most of the times only for self-contained vehicles so that's where I save money).
🔹Am I sometimes scared to travel alone?
Nope, never. I know that I'm always protected. ✨
🔹Would I recommend to travel NZ in a van?
Yes definitely get a van or car! There's no better way to get around, you're flexible and you see places you'd normally not see.
🔹Do I have a backpack or a suitcase?
I have a 65L backpack.
🔹What brands can I recommend?
I can highly recommend Deuter which was my last backpack and it was so perfect but I wanted to take a smaller one with me. Now I have one from Regatta, much cheaper but still amazing so I can recommend both.
🔹What do I eat while travelling?
For breakfast I normally eat quick oats with banana, water, cinnamon and peanut butter 👌 sometimes more fruit or just fruit or nicecream when I have the means for it haha. For dinner (I only eat twice a day, I do IF) I'd have veggies with rice or quinoa, sometimes pasta. When I'm lazy or it rains it's most of the times salad or wraps. And I eat lots of beans and lentils.
🔹How much do I spend on food?
Ugh too much haha. I spent about 70€ per week so that's definitely too much and I'll try to limit it somehow. Unfortunately food in NZ is just super expensive. 😕
🔹How do I manage food/utensils?
I already had all utensils in my van. And I go grocery shopping maybe once or twice a week, it really depends. Most of the times I go one or two more times to buy fresh veggies and fruit.
Part of my strength block is designed around using these overload techniques earlier in the cycle to condition me to heavy weight. Even though it’s a short range of motion, I still have to keep my core right to unrack it and control it. Worked up to 435 for a single, doubles with 405. Next week - lower box.
It took a LOT of courage, but after three and a half years of dreadlocks I finally decided to trim them.
They were getting heavy, took a long time to dry and were getting in the way. They went past the top of my butt!
I took about 3-4 inches off of each dread, all 31 of them and I'm loving it.
I'm going to weigh the hair I trimmed off tomorrow. I will also take a picture of me with them tomorrow after I use my @dollylocks detox. ✌💜💋
