The Dream Suite Part 5: The Dream Suite was transformed from a gift shop to Walt's apartment for the 50th anniversary of Disneyland. The theme was "A year of a million dreams" and began on October 1, 2006. There were many prizes randomly given out. One was the Dream Suite. Each night for a year one lucky family was selected to spend the night in the suite and have all their Disney wishes and dreams catered too. Here are photos of the two bedrooms. The master was adult oriented. When the "Goodnight Kiss" button was pushed the room transformed into a seen from Neverland. The other room also transformed and there was an amazing train that circled the room and did magical things at each stop. Next: more photos of the living quarters. Many of these pictures are courtesy of my friend Steve and some are mine. It is rather obvious. #disneyresort#disneylandresort#disneylanddreamsuite#dreamsuite#disneyland ##club33#club33disneyland
Morning light from my suite at the Taj Lake Palace hotel, back from my stay in March. This former royal pleasure palace, alone on the middle of the lake in the centre of the city, is one of the most beautiful properties I've ever stayed in
A shot I took when touring Walt's Dream Suite in Disneyland. -- With my new job, I keep coming back to Walt's vision and Walt's concept of having Cast Members instead of employees. His vision of hospitality is world renown and is used in the training of many businesses today. I am constantly thinking about the @disney way and how I can embrace it every step along the way. I can't wait to be apart of the magic one day. #itsallabouttheview#disney#disneyland#disneyworld#waltdisney#waltdisneyworld#dreamsuite
The Dream Suite Part 4: The Dream Suite was built for Disneyland's 50th Anniversary. As mentioned it was a store. If you went inside you would see pictures on the walls of the original renderings of what the new apartments were to look like. It was built just the way it would have been for Walt and his family in 1967. The living room and two bedrooms each have a button called "Good Night Kiss". When pushed the rooms transform in front of your eyes. It is impossible to describe and video was allowed. Even the fireplace does amazing things. This is the true magic of the Dream Suite. Some photos here are from my friend Steve and others are mine. Next: how it was used for the 50th Anniversary. #disneyland#dreamsuite#disneylanddreamsuite#disneylandresort#disneyresort
Dream Suite Part 3: As many of you know Walt's apartment is located above the Fire Station on Main St. I was fortunate to have visited there twice. During the construction of New Orleans Square a new much larger apartment was being built. It was above the Pirates ride. Next to it would be a place where he could entertain guests. It would be called Club 33. There was to be a restaurant and a separate jazz club. Walt died a few months before the opening and never saw his new apartment or club. The apartment was various things, it's last incarnation being a gift shop. The Dream Suite was built about 12 years ago for the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland. More on that later. Here are two more photos of the living room courtesy of my friend Steve. You see the entrance which is above Pirates. If you turn around you walk into a beautiful open air courtyard. #dreamsuite#disney#21royalstreet#disneyland#disneymagic#disneylandresort#club33#disneylandclub33
BEST BATHROOM EVER. The Cinderella Suite tub is lined with mosaics inspired by the original Cindy cartoon and has a light up starry sky above it. We weren't allowed to take pics IN the tub, but boy did we want to.
Dream Suite Part 2: The Dream Suite is now being rebranded as 21 Royal. That is the address. 21 Royal St., New Orleans Square. Club 33 is 33 Royal St. The entrance is between the Pirates line and the Royal Street Veranda food window. The sign used to say Dream Suite. There are two courtyards in NO Square. The Royal Courtyard and The Courtyard of Angels. Their is a staircase in the Royal Courtyard that leads up. The 2nd photo shows the sign. The other Courtyard, is closed forever. It is now the entrance to Club 33. This was done in 2014 when the club was remodeled. #dreamsuite#neworleanssquare#disneyresort#disneylandresort#club33disneyland#club33
Wanted to share some more photos from the Cinderella Suite since our video about it won't be up for awhile! This is the lobby you walk into upon entering the castle. It's also, I think, where a VIP tour guide CM stays all night while you sleep in the suite!
I am going to attempt to tell the story of the Dream Suite at Disneyland. As mentioned I was fortunate enough to have had a tour. I am using some pictures from my friend Steve. He is a great photographer and I just had my toy iPhone camera. Steve's photos do the place justice unlike mine. I will post a few each day along with a story. That way I won't be such an irritant by posting too often. This is the living room you see when you enter. I have lots to show and many stories to tell. Thanks Steve! #disneyland#disney#dreamsuite#club33#club33disneyland#disneylandresort#disneyresort
Thought I would finally share this, my husband and I did the walk in Walt's footsteps tour a month ago. First of all the tour is amazing, and defiantly worth the money, if you were curious. They will be changing the tour soon and you will no longer be allowed in the dream suite 😩. With that said, the dream suite was indescribable. It will forever be one of my favorite memories, I don't want to ruin anything for anyone but go now if you can. Here's a picture of us in the living room. #disneyland#disney#dreamsuite#walkinwaltsfootsteps
Checked an item off my Disney bucket list today and toured the Cinderella Castle Suite at Magic Kingdom. What an incredible experience. I feel so so lucky and honestly grateful to @frncissdominc for making it happen. Dreams really do come true in Disney World ✨
