I am really looking forward to being back in Orlando after two months away and with my good friend from Berlin @youandme_pix. He's a wonderful producer, a fantastic DJ, and an all around bright spot in the world of electronic music. It's also great to be teaming up with Brian Busto again, a combination that made for a special NYE and @mysticbill party. This is going to be another one for the books.
Working on putting in the finishing touches on a new track that I've been diligently working on for the past few weeks. The end of 2017, beginning of 2018 is gonna be friggin' huge for me. Lots of gnarly vinyl and digital records are gonna be released through numerous labels, and I'm tremendously excited to share them with you guys. I've come a long way, and I'm eternally grateful to have this talent and these wonderful skills, which took me years and years to successfully develop through patience, practice, and time. It wasn't easy at first, and after years of commitment and tremendous experimentation, all the hard work has finally paid off. And I hope that, in time, you fellow artists will feel the same overwhelming feeling of accomplishment as I do now. Throughout six long years of my life, I learned that, to create extremely mesmerizing tracks, all you need is five qualities above all: Patience, Boundless Determination, Commitment, Hope, and most importantly, being able to Work Hard on what you want possible. Now, I'm not saying I'm suddenly famous or that I successfully made it into the electronic music industry or anything like that, just because I'm signed onto a few lesser-known labels, no. I just feel great that I finished so many amazing tracks that I never knew I would finish or even create. It's an absolute achievement, and I feel good that I made it through this long, difficult journey, and I truly hope you guys make it through as well. Just don't give up, the day will come when you will be everything that you wished you'd be, And I'm sure of that. Everyone has a dream and a talent, and it's entirely up to you if you want to unleash yours upon the world, showing it what you can do. I love art, so send me some stuff and I'll gladly check it out and give you my two cents ;)
Unser zweites Portrait:
Verwurzelt in Berlin, doch gewachsen in Rostock.

The fourth week of August. 2017.
Oslated Mix Episode 63 - John Ov3rblast
This is a live set that all contains his original works.
Manchester, United Kingdom & Athens, Greece
Eclectic artist, producer and music label owner John Ov3rblast is on a mission to deliver Deep Soundscapes For The Mind And The Soul. As the Founder & Owner of SpacealOrbeats, John has been inspired since he was a kid, absorbing his dad’s passion for the likes of Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis. Today, Ov3rblast’s personal soundscape template offers a mesh of ambient cinematic, twisted tech, deep dubby and spacey atmosphere. His live audio and visual performances Rituals from Amsterdam to Berlin, from Leeds to Manchester and Athens, have offered to the electronic scene a new underground environment to breath, a mixture of spatial atmospheres alongside, layers of sounds and visions. His personal statement is that the personal live audiovisual performances are a journey, a gathering of memories and futuristic statements. As a winner in the Traum, Dominik Eulberg, competitions and label Baroque Records and the artists Stiven Rivic & Michael & Levan, Ponytech Comp and the Twisted Recordings @ Beatport & Metapop, he continues to work toward gaining critical mass with music designed to challenge the status quo.
Rediscovered my love for the gnarly filter module, Filter Grizzly, created and designed by "CFA|SOUND". It's friggin' cool, and is loaded with a tube-based filter drive unit for saturation, followed by an analog modeled 4-pole lowpass and 2-pole highpass filter with a passive controlled feedback circuit, and works incredibly well with synths. It's got a cutoff frequency, resonance, dry/wet, and an input/output volume knob. It's a free effect plugin designed primarily to emphasize or eliminate frequencies from a signal, and is available for download, no charge, completely free. On the other hand, what makes the filter plugin so cool, is that on the top right side of the plugin, there's a cool looking drawing of a grizzly bear, and when you open it up in a channel on your DAW's mixer, and you let the track play, the bear's eyes suddenly lights up red, which I thought was pretty rad. If used correctly, and with enough experimentation and time, your mixdown will sound fuckin' fantastic, your Synths and Drums, and maybe Bass, will sound exceptionally outstanding. A must get for any music producer 👌🎹🎧
