As I long for summer on my “favorite places” blog, this is a #flashbackfriday photo & blog post: Changing up "my favorite places" today to my favorite place to dine "with a view" at The Blue Point in Duck, NC. Located on the Outer Banks since 1989, this local "must see" on the Northern Outer Banks has one of the most incredible dining views on the Currituck Sound. Their menu features seasonal dishes with a Southern flair along with specialty drinks. Every season has new menu items which makes it a delicious culinary experience on each visit! My favorite specialty beverage is the Loosey Goosey!
Now with the Back Deck outdoor bar and the vast number of outdoor seating, it is the perfect place to relax after dinner and enjoy "the view". #thebluepoint#northcarolina#obx#outerbanks#cocktails#curritucksound#sunsets#ducknc#CLPicks#visitnc

From the beach to the sound and in between, #ducknc is covered in snow once again! The Town office is closed today due to the road conditions. DOT has asked that unnecessary travel be avoided to allow road crews to do their job. Temperatures are expected to rise, which will help the melting process. Please continue to use caution if travel is necessary. Thank you to Rainie Sadler and @advice5ktt for the pictures! #doducknc#ducknc#duckfiredepartment#snowatthebeach#herewegoagain

It’s been too cold to fish (ice fishing just isn’t for me) and I’m kind of losing my mind bc my brother-in-law got me a new rod for Christmas that I really wanna use. Anyhow, my mom recently sent me this photo and I dig it bc it’s proof that I’ve always loved to fish 🎣 And yes I used to have blonde curly locks 😆 I might have to bring this look back #tbt#nostalgia#fishing#catchandrelease#DuckNC
We don’t care that it thundered last night.. at the beach .. in winter. Or what the ‘Farmer’s Almanac’ says. (Have you ever seen an author photo of the ‘farmer’?) just say NO to SNOW. #obxwinter#farmersalmanac#beachsnow#justsayno

We have just received word that there will be further service delay as a result of the recent Winter Storm Grayson. #wastemanagement will be unable to collect residential trash tomorrow, January 12 as originally planned. They will collect all trash and Christmas trees on the regular service day of Monday, January 15. We do apologize for any inconvenience and confusion that this has caused. #ducknc#doducknc#trashcollection#snowstormaftermath
