It was already 15+ minutes after the sun had set and the light was fading fast when this Snowy Owl decided to leave the dune it was resting on way off in the distance and perch itself perfectly on this peice of driftwood. I had to readjust my position quickly yet carefully not to flush the owl off its perch and to catch it with the red and orange sky in the background. The sun had set at 4:32 on Monday evening and this was taken 21 minutes after that, so it is a tad grainy.
Where should I travel to next summer? (It's gotta be dark)

Had to say goodbye to a good friend today. This car has gotten me all over California the last 4 years and I've had some great adventures with her. She has been a great first car and it's sad to see her go. RIP Esmeralda. .
