The World of Greyhawk Fantasy Game Setting, released in 1983, is an updated and expanded version of the folio edition from 1980. And boy, was it expanded... the folio came with a 32-page book that gave only the most skeletal of outlines for Gygax's original campaign setting. This boxed edition includes a 48-page Glossography as well as an 80-page Guide to the World of Greyhawk. As everyone knows, however, the real highlight of both folio and box is that map! It's impossible to overstate the significance of Darlene's masterpiece of cartography in terms of lasting impact on the RPG world. Have prettier maps ever been made? Sure, but none has had the same level of influence over a generation of gamers like this one did. Just looking at those names brings back a flood of memories: Barrier Peaks, The Pomarj, Nyr Dyv, Iuz, Vast Swamp, Theocracy of the Pale, The Scarlet Brotherhood... so good! #dungeonsanddragons#advanceddungeonsanddragons#adnd#dnd#dandd#rpg#roleplayinggame#tabletoprpg#greyhawk#worldofgreyhawk#gygax#garygygax
It's like Fight Club... with dice! Who else can't wait until their next game day? 🎲🏰🐉
In the harsh world of Hellfrost, the environment is every bit as lethal as a trap-filled dungeon or a rampaging monster. Luckily our heroes have Rhimm Fang-Quiver - played by @katsushiro - to navigate the treacherous wilds.

What's the best place for a D&D group to hang out? Obvious answer is a bar cause all adventures start in one. Although any place you can meet mysterious strangers while having food and drinks would probably work.
As Star Wars Episode VIII releases this week, I’ve decided to do a one-shot adventure with a Star Wars X Acquisitions Incorporated mashup!!! Tonight’s adventurers were sub-interns of the illustrious Acq. Inc., and they were called back to service Wintertide (bummer, huh). A briefing by the CEO, Omin Dran, detailed that they were to head to Icewind Dale to investigate a body of a “huge metal dragon” (really a derelict AT-AT) that lay dead at the foot of the snowcapped mountains. As sub-interns of AI, the group had the opportunity to travel, but no expenses paid by the company. Thankfully for the group, the Sorcerer was a sailor, so he got them an airship to get there!
At the site, they discovered that the AT-AT was carved open at the belly. There were the dead bodies of white-and-black soldiers (Stormtroopers) lying near it. Inside, they realized that the metal dragon was a contraption of sorts, and could be operated by operating a set of buttons and levers. However, seated at the cockpit were a dead Jedi and a dying Wookiee, breathing its last breath at that moment. The Jedi bore a strange metal rod with a button, which sprouted a blade of #GreenFlame , accidentally stabbing the Ranger, who thankfully didn’t die as he fumbled with it.
The Jedi also carried a small holosphere, which projected his final memories before he died. This gave the group a hint of how to operate the AT-AT, much to the Warlock’s glee. Satisfied with their find, they decided to pilot it back to Waterdeep, where the AI office was.
A few days later, they were suddenly shot down by a large airship. Stepping out of the AT-AT, they were met with more of the white soldiers with metal boomsticks, led by a black-cloaked warrior - a Sith Lord - who laid claim to the group’s new loot. The group resisted, and engaged the Sith in combat. The Paladin, who was the joke of the group up until this point, shone (literally), acting as the bulwark, preventing the Sith Lord from doing any real damage. Eventually, he fell, leaving his ship also in the group’s possession!
Returning back to the offices of AI with their haul, the group will be hoping to be granted full intern status — and their holidays!
We have emailed out an update on the production for the Dungeon of Doom! Casting is well underway, and we have some Dwarvenite prototypes in hand. Things are looking great and we are excited about how nicely everything is coming out. Finally, the KS5 tote bag! Roomy, sturdy, and so great for hauling Dwarvenite, cursed artifacts, and the odd small furry demon (not included). #dwarvenforge#dungeonofdoom#dungeonsanddragons#kickstarter#miniatures#tabletopgames
One of the most rewarding teaching experiences of my life. All day at Poly Prep in Brooklyn, NY. If you are interested in having me teach a group about interactive narrative and tabletop games, PM me. #dungeonsanddragons !
