Dynamic stretching vinyasa style warm up. Alternate leg each time you go down and its fun to find a song with a decent beat to change position to. A  good stretch warmup those who enjoy dancing or flowing for the whole body.

Friday mood. ☺️💕 As I've started progressing from an absolute beginner to a beginning intermediate lifter, I've found that mobility and dynamic stretching has become more important, especially for my shoulders. This is my favorite shoulder movement, which you can do with a plastic rod at the gym or just a scarf like I'm using here. I find it helps keep my full range of motion in tact and helps loosen stiffness after a killer shoulder or bench workout!

Two of the major muscles involved in hip pain: Gluteus Medius AND your TFL.

You don't need to know the muscles, but what you need to know is that they live in this area. Between the side hip bone (femur) and the top of your hip ☝️ Get cracking at this with thePnut XL and watch the magic happen. You can lay on it and be still or you can start moving around slowly to knead the muscles and free them from tension... Footwork for Friday :) Guys it's so important to train your feet! More than usual lately I've been working on feet, ankles and calves with clients with knee pain and back pain.  The alignment of their feet is something that can't go overlooked! Fallen arches are super common and they can pull you out of alignment in the knees, which then travels up the hips into the spine... Stretching ⁉️Did you know there's 2️⃣different kinds of stretching you should be doing before and after your workout 🤔?? Your pre workout should always start with some dynamic stretching. This is slow controlled movements like leg kicks and rolling of the shoulders. You should then follow your workout with some static stretching. This is when you hold a stretch with no movement for about 20-30 seconds like I'm doing in the picture above. I'm definitely not perfect and sometimes I just don't have time for this but when I do, my workouts and recovery tend to be way better and worth the couple minutes of good stretching 💪👍

Today was arguably the most difficult session I have encountered to date. I trained alongside Matthew and @siduseslami. This was all about flexibility and progressive stretching. It all started with a big warm up, this is essential to avoid any muscle strains or pulls. The warm up was very intense and we was literally drenched in sweat, indeed it rivalled any hiit session I have done. Then come the stretches, I am not ashamed to say I was screaming in pain. These were like no stretches I have ever experienced. I was literally pinned down by Matthew and my legs were stretched to places they have never been stretched. The muscles literally made looking sounds, it was agony. After 1.5 hours of that I did some calisthenics with @joker69
And Chris another PT, amazingly he can do the back lever, which I look forward to learning from him, I am still working on the front lever, need to push my glutes higher to get the straight line. Con frecuencia escuchas a la gente enfatizar en la importancia del estiramiento pero qué hay acerca de dinámico VS estático (dynamic vs static)? Cuando es uno apropiado por encima del otro?
#DynamicStretching se realiza previo al entrenamiento (pre-workout) y su propósito principal es preparar tu cuerpo para tu entrenamiento. 
Un calentamiento dinámico ayuda a prevenir lesiones al maximizar un amplio rango de movimiento. 
Ejemplos de Dynamic Stretches: hydrant kicks, knee to chest, hi kicks, arm circles, leg swings, etc. (buscar referencia por estos nombres online)
#StaticStretching is estiramiento con el propósito de estirar gradualmente un músculo y se realiza cuando el cuerpo está en reposo.

And that's definitely true for me! When I see the ladies do the pull ups with ease I just think to myself.. 💭"One day"💭. Until that one day occurs, I'll be happy with my progress NOW 💥

When I got home this morning, I had 0 desire to workout. I was #sore as hell from yesterday and I was fighting a #headache. Not to mention, today was supposed to be #cardio. Since cardio and headaches don't mix, I knew I had to do something else. I mean, I *could* have just skipped today, but why? So, I decided to do #dynamix instead and get a good #dynamicstretching in. Let me tell you, it was just what I needed! The soreness and headache are going away, everything is looser and I worked up a #sweat!

A very fast rendition of my warm up sessions. 500meter row, high kicks, butt kicks, dynamic version of hamstring stretch, dynamic version of quad stretch, torso twists, lunge with twist, lunge with hands over head, band pronated pull apart, band neutral pull apart, band supinated pull apart, band shoulder raises, band OH scapula retraction. This seems to prime everything I need for general warm up. Depending on deadlifts, squats etc I will add more to specify movement pattern.
