This is Ra’inui, his name means “Big Sky” in Tahitian. Ra’i told me he felt more at home in the ocean than anywhere else, he would often free dive 15+ metres deep and hang out below with swarms of fish for a decent time before resurfacing. He told me his people have a special connection with the sea life here, he recognised stingrays, even had names for them and it’s as though they recognised him and his voice too. Though he’d never been off the island much, he genuinely was one of the happiest guys I’ve met.. Always lively, cracking jokes and engaging with everyone he met. Though we can often be in a hurry to achieve and attain things, it’s important to remember happiness can come from the simplest ways of living. Almost a year ago I made a video titled “The island life” briefly speaking about the warmth felt in the islands, a year on that same warmth is felt, this time on another island in the Pacific. #Islandlife
Tis the season to be kind and give thoughtfully 🎄 With so much hype around Christmas, sometimes we can lose the the specialness of giving for the sake of giving. Making small gestures that come from the heart always wins against a huge $ spend. All ingredients from @nakedfoods to create a conscious treat from start to finish. Buying bulk is better for you and the planet 🍪 Because who doesn’t love healthy, heartfelt gingerbread!?
