Here's a little before and after shot (dont mind my hair... its monday... Im not doing shit with it) of using the @janeiredale Pure and Simple Makeup Kit I received from @influenster for my honest review. I used moisturizer and primer before and a setting spray, mascara and brow products of my own but everything else I used was from the Jane Iredale kit.
So, lets start off with saying I have suuuper dry skin 🌵 so just hearing the words "powder foundation" makes me cringe. But I figured Id give it a go anyways since the brands whole thing is "the skincare makeup" and its good for skin, so I hoped maybe I would be pleasantly surprised. But I was wrong. 😢 My face feels 10x more dry than usual with all this powder on it. My face feels soo tight and I literally can't wait to go wash it all off. But as you can see it looks okay. It did even out my skin tone, but didnt give me as much coverage I would like. It didnt completely cover any blemishes I have, you can definitely still see the one on my chin, the darkness around my eyes is pretty much gone though. I dont look overpowdery. The foundation shades are a nice match for my skintone but I can't say Im a fan of the orangey blush and red lip. Being as pale as I am I prefer to stay away from those colors. Its definitely a hardcore matte finish which Im also not down with. I have also tried using the powder foundation on top of my liquid foundation and concealer to set it and it worked wonderfully so I will continue to use it that way. I can see why people like this. I can tell that these are nice products and I love that its good for my skin. I really wish it worked for me because it really is soo simple and easy to use. But my skin is just way to dry to be using all this powder on its own. .
