Simple recipe for tempura batter from bbc using sparkling water (some use beer!) and the harissa dip was coconut yogurt, harissa paste, coriander, lemon juice and flakes almonds... Posting this early tonight as we’ve had early tea!...kids are now watching a vid and hubby is home VERY soon, currently en route from the airport! Whoop!! 🎉

1kg Muscheln
1/2 Flasche Halbtrocknen Weißwein
1 Dose geschälte Tomaten
200g Karotten
Salz, Pfeffer, Knoblauchsalz, Grünzeug nach Belieben
Baguette oder Brötchen

Zubereitung (für zwei):
Muscheln gut abspülen 
Gemüse in Pfanne erhitzen, Gewürze hinzugeben
Wein hinzugeben und Mischung zum sieden bringen
Muscheln langsam hinzugeben
Wasser im Wasserkocher erhitzen, auffüllen, sodass alle Muscheln bedeckt sind
35min kochen lassen

I grew up in NH, but hate cold weather more than anyone you might ever meet, moved to NYC right after college and loved everything about the city, but ended up moving to LA seven years ago with my hubby. The transition wasn't easy, I had to drive after not driving for ten years and develop new friendships, but am so grateful we took the risk and moved out here since that is how we met Piper, our dog, and created so many amazing new friendships.

You can usually find me walking Piper on the strand, spending time with my hubby hiking, at concerts, traveling and of course eating! I also love spending time with my friends and family near and far!

Je vais vous donner la recette d’un gâteau que j’ai testé aujourd’hui et dont je suis totalement ravis. Il s’agit d’un gâteau au yaourt au chocolat en poudre.
Les ingrédients:
•1 yaourt •3 œufs •3 pot (celui du yaourt) de farine
•1 pot de sucre
•3/4 de pot d’huile
•un sachet de levure •un sachet de sucre vanille
•2 pots de chocolat en poudre sucré

Étapes
•faire chauffer le four à 180
•mélanger le yaourt,la farine, le sucre, la levure,sucre vanillé
•ajouter ensuite l’huile et les œufs •mélanger puis ajouter le chocolat •mettre dans un moule beurré •enfourner 35 min

Fresh pesto is one of my favorite sauce; I always keep a jar or two in my freezer. It’s simply divine and so easy to make, using whatever herbs (or nuts) you like. Basil is the most common herb to use, but cilantro is my favorite herb and makes for a more aromatic pesto. For this one, I mixed it with lots of garlic and shallot, browned first to elevate their aroma. It’s also nut free so it tastes lighter.

Recipe:
🌱 A bunch of fresh cilantro
🌱 One clove of garlic
🌱 Shallots (5-6 small ones or same amount with the garlic)
🌱 Olive oil (or coconut oil or whatever oil of your choice)
🌱 Salt and pepper to taste

Method (partially can be seen in my instastory highlight):
🌱 Wash cilantro and pat dry (as dry as possible, water can spoil fresh sauce fast)
🌱 Pick the leaves but don’t throw out the stalks (it’s where the flavor is!), chop the stalks and set aside
🌱 Peel garlic and shallots
🌱 Heat oil in pan, brown the garlic and shallots. Once browned, throw in the chopped cilantro stalks and stir for a bit until your kitchen smells so heavenly
🌱 Put the cilantro leaves in food processor, add the cooked garlic/shallots/stalk mixture. Add more oil, salt and pepper, and then blitz away. If mixture gets too dry, add more oil until you reach the consistency you like
🌱 Store in a jar, in the fridge, for up to two weeks or longer in the freezer

Cafe Beirut - a cafe style restaurant in the heart of Gulberg serving delicious Lebanese Food. The place has a very humble decor, colorful lanterns hanging, rectangle tables with comfortable seating. Lebanese music playing in the background, gives you very middle eastern feels.

I haven't tried the authentic Lebanese Food but for me all the dishes we ordered at the cafe were rich in flavour, with perfect seasoning, fresh and affordable.

For starters we ordered Hommos, it was rich and creamy with the right quantity of oil and olives. Followed by Kellage Cheese, it's a Lebanese version of  cheese quesadilla. Kellage was crispy pita stuffed  with soft and fresh halloumi and mozzarella - it was delicious!

For main course we had Mix Grill which included  Lamb Kafta, Shish Taouk, Chicken Kafta  and Lamb Kebabs and Lamb Meshwi served with garlic dip and spicy sauce. This platter was delicious, loved the  Shish Taouk and Chicken Kafta. It had the right flavour with mild spices, just the way it should be.

Oriental Rice were topped with fresh Chicken and crispy onion. The highlight of the dish were crispy onion which added texture and flavour to the rice dish.

Meat Shawarma platter included mini pita stuffed with meat, sauce and pickled onion.

We got to enjoy this amazing food at their rooftop seating with an all white setup, shades on the table and fresh air. The food experience was amazing!

The staff was humble and courteous. Despite the fact their rooftop seating was closed for the afternoon they were nice enough to set it up for us on our request.

After the lunch, we were 6 happy and fully satisfied foodies. We couldn't try their Kunafa because we were too full for dessert but we're definitely going back there soon to try their delicious variety of Lebanese dishes.

Durch die Zugabe von Ingwer & Kurkuma profitiert euer Körper nicht nur von den entzündungshemmenden Eigenschaften, sondern auch von einer vermehrten Nährstoffaufnahme wie Eisen und Magnesium. 🥕🍊 Für unsere Anti-Arthrose-Suppe benötigt ihr (für 2 Portionen) :
1 rote Zwiebel 
1 Knoblauchzehe
1 Stück Ingwer
500 g Möhren
1 TL Kokosöl
750 ml Gemüsebrühe
1 TL Kurkuma
1 TL Curry 
schwarzer Pfeffer
etwas Muskatnuss 
Saft von 1 Orange
½ Bund Koriander & Sojajoghurt zum Garnieren 👩‍🍳 So geht's 👉1. Zwiebel, Knoblauch und Ingwer schälen und hacken. Die Möhren putzen und in kleine Würfel schneiden. 2. Das Kokosöl in einem Topf erhitzen, Zwiebel, Knoblauch und Ingwer darin andünsten, dann die Möhren zugeben und unter Rühren 3 Minuten anbraten. 3. Mit der Gemüsebrühe ablöschen und 15 Minuten köcheln lassen. 4. Die Suppe mit einem Mixstab pürieren, dann die Gewürze zugeben und den Orangensaft unterrühren. #EndlichWochenende  😍🎉Wir haben für euch ein leckeres Suppen-Rezept, dass eure Schmerzfreiheit fördert. Durch die Zugabe von Ingwer & Kurkuma profitiert euer Körper nicht nur von den entzündungshemmenden Eigenschaften, sondern auch von einer vermehrten Nährstoffaufnahme wie Eisen und Magnesium. 🥕🍊 Für unsere Anti-Arthrose-Suppe benötigt ihr (für 2 Portionen) : 1 rote Zwiebel 1 Knoblauchzehe 1 Stück Ingwer 500 g Möhren 1 TL Kokosöl 750 ml Gemüsebrühe 1 TL Kurkuma 1 TL Curry schwarzer Pfeffer etwas Muskatnuss Saft von 1 Orange ½ Bund Koriander & Sojajoghurt zum Garnieren 👩‍🍳 So geht's 👉1. Zwiebel, Knoblauch und Ingwer schälen und hacken. Die Möhren putzen und in kleine Würfel schneiden. 2. Das Kokosöl in einem Topf erhitzen, Zwiebel, Knoblauch und Ingwer darin andünsten, dann die Möhren zugeben und unter Rühren 3 Minuten anbraten. 3. Mit der Gemüsebrühe ablöschen und 15 Minuten köcheln lassen. 4. Die Suppe mit einem Mixstab pürieren, dann die Gewürze zugeben und den Orangensaft unterrühren. Vegan lunch in 20 min🕔. Time is the main reason which takes us away from the kitchen and straight to the fast food cafe next 🚪 . 
This recipe takes 4 min of preparation and 15min to cook. It’s warming, packed with fiber to keep you full longer and plant based protein to make you strong and resist the cold.
Let’s get started! All proportions are for 2persons 👥
✅Put half cup of rice and a cup of water in a pan. Place on a medium heat and leave for 10-12 min (see the instruction on the package)
✅ Chop pumpkin and carrot 🥕 into 1-2 cm long slices. The smaller- the faster it will cook. Totally you’ll need 2-3 cups of veggies per 👥
✅ Thinly slice 1 small onion.
✅ In a pan heat up 1 tbs of olive oil. Add 5-7 vm piece of cinnamon bark, 1 anis star, 1 tsp of cumin. Cook until seeds start to pop.
✅ Add onion and sauté it on a medium heat 1-2 min.
✅Add chopped veggies increase the heat to medium- high and cook veggies for 2-3 min. High heat will seal the vitamins inside and give special flavour to the whole meal.
✅Add 1/2 cup of red or mixed lentils. I pre- soaked mine for 30 min and highly recommend you to do the same. Though dry one will work 👌🏻 ✅ Cook 1 min then add water to cover veggies.
✅When water starts to boil, Decrease the heat to medium/ low. Cook for 10-12 min until veggies and lentils are soft. Switch of the heat. Add salt, freshly grounded black pepper as chilli 🌶 (optional). You can also squeeze half a lemon on it. ✅Serve over rice (brown one goes especially well with it).
