Ya know one of the BIGGEST fears I had when Declan was 5 months old and I left an abusive situation to raise him alone? 
Him having a present, consistent parent and role model. 
I had dropped out of my last year of college to move across country when I got pregnant.๐Ÿ™„ When I left, in few months to follow, my head swirled. I was like-- how the F am I gonna put him in full time day care, work and finish school? And be a present mom? 
The funny thing is, until I was IN that situation, I had never wanted to work from home.

I just wanted to lose my baby weight, regain my confidence, find my self worth, be healthy, be happy, be a good role model and have energy to keep up with him. I realized, I could help other women do the same.

I ran with it. No plan B. I didn't know how I'd make it happen, but I decided I would-- no matter what. I didn't have any business or leadership experience. I didn't even own a freaking lap top!๐Ÿ˜‚ But I believed in the mission. I believed in the possibility. I trusted I could fail forward and learn along the way. It was a pretty risky and audacious choice and I'd do it all over again.โœŒ๐Ÿป I was thinking today how he's home for the next 9 days. I don't have to ask for time off. I don't have to move my schedule around. I don't have to stress child care. 
But I do, make sacrifices, and often work weird hours-- like right now on a Saturday night, so I can be PRESENT.

For him, my team and my challengers who are determined to make self care and healthy a priority, even through the holidays.๐Ÿ’• The coolest thing beyond that? 
And, I see the visions, present time and freedom rippling into the lives of the girls on my team who are willing to fight for it like I have.๐Ÿ’• Worth every sacrifice, late night and even every hour spent pouring into others rather than binging on Netflix.๐ŸŒŸ Why not you? Tween girls eat terrible! Just in case you didn't already know that! ๐Ÿ˜‚ They can live off buttered popcorn, sugary drinks, and Chick-fil-A! It was constant requests for food. My inner tween girl was wanting all the sugar too! Unfortunately mama's metabolism isn't as awesome as those little ladies... so thank god for my superfood shake! It hit the spot as a healthy snack and I'm feeling good about my choice! But this one is seriously SO good. Not a salad person?? Try to mix it up a bit. Here I cooked up my peppers and onions (hello amazingness ๐Ÿ˜‹) and cooked the chicken with herb infused olive oil. So all I needed to dress the salad was a little bit of balsamic and there you have it!

Breakfast was sautรฉed potatoes, scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, and grapes! 
Lunch was more leftover soup, a pear, and @simplemills crackers
Supper was homemade pizza! We use the @simplemills crust and everyone loves it! Itโ€™s even picky hubby approved! My hubby had just pepperoni, the boys had Canadian bacon and black olives, and mama had Canadian bacon, black olives, and green peppers!! I also plan to enjoy a glass of wine later tonight!! *

Today I found some awesome herb roasted turkey, citrus/tarragon carrots, maple glazed butternut squash, and an apple/kale/walnut on the side๐Ÿ saving those carbs for later because we all know if the weekend is around the corner there a chance for a treat meal not far behind!

My sweetheart nephew got off the bus today and when I asked about making him a snack, he requested to make the smoothie recipe on the side of the @almondbreeze carton. Together, we measured out dairy free milk, fruit, cashews, and a hemp/flax/chia mixture. Of course, this power smoothie had to be served up in his Flash cup! It makes me so happy to see him embrace (and request!) healthy, plant based nutrition. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐ŸŒฑ

๐ŸŒฟToday was a super busy day and when I got home I honestly had no desire to do my workout whatsoever.. my body felt achy and my muscles have been sooo tight so I made the choice to do some yoga today instead of my normally scheduled workout.. listening to your body and giving it what it needs is key to your progress๐Ÿ’ซ

Iโ€™m so thankful for my ability to stream thousands of different workouts from the comfort of my own living room.. no wandering the gym trying to piece together a full workout.. any type of workout at the touch of my fingers and today was the day for yoga๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป I loved the class I chose today it got my core burning and loosened up my back and shoulders!

Some days I really don't feel like cooking.  I have to be honest, cooking & eating plant based foods that are whole & unprocessed takes time, it takes effort, it takes energy, and it's MESSY!! Peels of this and chunks of that are all over the place from all the chopping, slicing, mincing and dicing.  There are always a million dishes to do and my floor could seriously use a mop every day (but certainly doesn't get one). .
On top of teaching, planning my classes, all other chores and responsibilities, time for my own yoga practice and workouts, plus self care and relationships ... .
I could easily thrown in the towel on this whole foods, vegan, gluten free eating that I do, easily!! Except if I did, nothing else would be what it is in my life!! I would feel like crap, be back on medication, would probably be overweight and struggling with being active, have brain fog, adrenal fatigue would return and all the other undesireable side effects of eating a SAD diet would engulf my life.  NO THANKS!! So I'm grateful for every chop, every saute, every dirty dish, every piece of food on the floor & smoothie splatter on the wall, lol.  Because it means I eat like I love myself, and my body responds lovingly by providing me with health and vitality.  And that makes it all SO WORTH IT ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜‰โœŒ๐Ÿ’–๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ„
