•SOMETIMES EVEN I THINK MY BREAKFASTS ARE A LITTLE CRAZY• So I wasn’t entirely sure what I felt like this morning, but opened my fridge and felt my turmeric roasted cauliflower calling 🗣. Next obvious (!) choice was to put it in porridge. Say what??!!! YES I DID. I blitzed it and put it into porridge with some fresh coconut. And I topped it with fresh mango, pomegranate seeds, some of my pineapple chia jam and some of my mum’s homemade peanut butter. It was strangely tasty!!! Not what I was expecting, a bit of an experiment but I think it worked. My husband did look a little sceptical as I mentioned I’d left some for him 😆. I did then leave for work so not entirely sure if he was brave enough to try it...😬 What do you think - one step too far?!!! 🥑🥕🌽🍆🍅🍠
Prawns, pan roasted in ghee and seasonings. Turmeric cashew cream. Braised cabbage and shallots. Chopped kohlrabi. Smoked coconut. 👌👌👌 One of my favorite challenges with cooking with real food is trying to re-create dishes that were originally made with ingredients I don't use (ex: corn, gluten, soy, etc.) At first everything seems a bit more bland or boring, but eventually your brain figures out a way to create different flavors and textures without all the fillers. And your taste buds will adapt too, trust me.
It’s 2:30 and I’m still not able to sleep ... laying here in child’s pose while steeping some tea with chamomile, rosehips and valerian root to try and relax. Any other tried & true home remedies you’d recommend?? I’m desperate! #chronicinsomnia#sleepwhyhaveyouforsakenme
I know this isn’t the best picture but I hardly ever eat salads because I feel like they’re boring. This one, however, was amaziiiing! Thanks @hotforfood for inspiring me to make this vegan kale Caesar ❤️🌱 #eatmoreveggies#kale#vegan
Taco Tuesday leftover style. Crispy baked cauliflower tacos with quinoa, cabbage, avocado, and carmelized onion. For crispy breaded cauliflower: coat in egg wash then roll in a mix of flour and spices (here is Moroccan, chili powder, garlic powder, and paprika.) Bake at 400 degrees for 35 minutes! #eatmoreveggies#cauliflower#vegetariantacos

Almost exactly one year separates these pictures. So does about 35lbs, 3 pant sizes, and who knows how many inches. But the biggest differences between these two pictures are the ones you can’t see...
Motivation. Pride. Love for myself just as I am.💜
Learning to take care of you and put yourself first isn’t selfish. I’m a better mom, a better wife, a better nurse, and a better woman because of it. But you have to be willing to get out of your comfort zone and put in the effort.

It's Kimchi Day! There are hundreds of different recipes for this funky Korean ferment. Traditionally, kimchi is made using a variety of different cabbages, the most popular being Wombok. However, @hollydaviswholefood has assured us that you can substitute this with what's available seasonally. For now, have a go at using cucumbers or radish to create a punchy condiment that will aid your gut with all the good stuff. 📷 @thefermentary

I am currently planting out my dream herb garden. What herbs are essential to your kitchen garden?
| SUPERFOOD CHOC ZUCCHINI BREAD | Using my new Beetroot & Cacao Elixir from @scoopwholefoods. Delicious for breakfast, as a snack or at tea time.
To make start by preheating oven to 180C and grating 2 organic zucchinis spreading on a paper towel to absorb excess moisture. Then mix together your dry ingredients: 1 cup teff flour, 1/2 cup almond meal, 1/2 cup LSA, 1/3 cup Beet Cacao Elixir (you can also use organic unsweetened cocoa powder), 1 tsp gf baking powder, 1/2 tsp bi carb soda and 1/2 tsp fine Himalayan salt. In a seperate bowl mash 1 ripe banana, add 2 organic free range eggs, 2/3 cup melted coconut oil, 1 tsp vanilla essence and 1/4 cup maple syrup, mix well. Add wet ingredients to dry and combine, then mix in your zucchini. Pour into lined loaf tin, sprinkle with cacao nibs and place in oven for 45 mins or until skewer comes out clean. Allow to cool and then slice... I didn't wait... I was too excited and it was delicious!! It firmed up once cooled.
Short travel weeks means super simple meal prep!!
I like to make sure that the fridge is pretty empty when we leave town, and this simple go-to never disappoints!
- 1 cup of quinoa (about 4-5 servings for us)
- 1 pack chicken sausage (shrimp also works great)
- 1 lb roasted veggies (broccoli has been my JAM lately)
Put together into a bowl and enjoy!! It’s easy to use up each of these, and you can even freeze the meat for later use!
Simple, healthy and light dinner for a busy workday: ginger spiced chicken with avocado, tomatoes, onion and mixed salad 🌱🍅🌱😋
Egyszerűen elkészíthető, egészséges és könnyű vacsi egy fárasztó munkanap után.
Gyömbéres csirke avokádóval, paradicsommal, lila hagymával és salátával.😋
Today's dinner was "beef" and broccoli stir fry from @geniuskitchen 🥦🥦
I got the faux meat in @tescoirl. I only recently heard about wheat gluten when I was watching a @thehappypear YouTube video🍐🍐🍐
I happened across these frozen beef style strips at the weekend.
They weren't bad...I think they need a good sauce to go with them as they don't have much flavour on their own.
Not vegan as there's egg whites in them....still phasing out the eggs here...🥚🥚🥚
Served with brown rice, this was an easy midweek meal👍
Join me for my 21-Day Detox Diet starting on November 27th. Give yourself three weeks of concentrated time to practice mindful eating and reset your system by only eating real, nutrient-dense foods.

Here are some of the long term benefits you may experience:
~Increased consumption of real, nutrient dense foods, decreased processed foods ~Reduced sugar cravings ~Increased energy levels
~Stronger immune system
~Healthy weight loss

Tried a new salad mix from @traderjoes this week and it is AMAZING!! Kale, cabbage, broccoli slaw, cauliflower, Brussels...ALLLLL the good greens and none of the boring😋
I fellll off of the wagon and then the wagon behind me ran me over. Battling sickness between myself and the babes for 2 weeks now. "I don't feel like cooking" "I'm tired" "I'm sick"... Well, Britney, you're sick and tired because you aren't cooking. Don't underestimate the importance and power of fueling your body with the right foods. I woke up today craving green beans 🤷🏽♀️ •
Render down some pancetta, add shallots & garlic until soft, throw in shroomies until browned, add green beans on top throw in a splash of veg broth (to steam them), add s+p, cover and cook to your green bean liking. Top with parm and don't forget to breathe. ☝🏽
