Ladies please, please eat. If you're working out 5-6 days per week, strength training some days, doing cardio on other days, your body needs calories in a big way.
You're exhausted, you're feeling weak, you're not seeing changes and surprise surprise you're consuming 1000 to 1200 calories a day!! You're trying to launch a space shuttle with 5 gallons of regular unleaded and wondering why the rockets wont fire? I challenge you to consume more GOOD calories from nutritious healthy food INSTEAD of trying to exist on minimal calories!! Your body NEEDS calories, your muscles NEED some form of carbs as well as protein ( none of this no carbs b*****ks!) Its not 1985, nobody's trying to be THIN anymore or SKINNY and that whole "thigh gap" thing is total b*llsh*t.
I feel so bad for all the hardworking ladies out there that are working their asses off to get healthy and failing- simply because they're scared to eat 2000 calories a day. Please eat. You don't diet and exercise, you fuel and train #fitnesstips#nutrition#eat#dontstarveyourself#fuelforthebody#fitnessmotivation#eatnutritious#training#fitnesstrainer#groupfitnessinstructor
A quick and tasty protein packed lunch doesn’t have to take forever or taste bland. This seitan, mushroom and sweet potato bowl topped with roasted red pepper hummus sauce took less than 20 minutes to make and comes in with 35g protein, 39g carbs and 16g of fat! #veganasfuck#eattherainbow#dontworrywhereigetmyprotein
After the hectic time the last few months getting things rolling for some business changes its back on track and getting my nutrition on point. Some seitan, onion, piquillo peppers and shredded tater made for a quick balanced protein packed meal.
Low folate or vitamin B12 can cause us to become very fatigued all the time😟 With prolonged fatigue, we become irritable and unhappy. I am a huge believer in eating as best as possible in order to ensure that our vitamin needs are met. These foods are high in folate and can easily be added to our daily diets✅ #foodforthought#folatefoods#vitaminb12foods#eatnutritious
Not all fats are the same. Avocados are a good source of fat because they are 75% unsaturated fat. A salad with free range chicken or turkey and some avocado, nuts or seeds can be a great choice for a post work out meal.
Sushi Bentos 🍱 Love them! How delicious these bentos from @sumosushibento look? Love the @entertainergcc deal as well. Buy one bento get one free! Delicious, nutritious and with a great value for money 💰 Oh and try out their Ginger Mocktail, so refreshing

There are four things that can not be recovered: the stone once thrown, the word once said, the occasion once lost, the time once wasted, love once betrayed!!
You've come so far! You don't want to let the upcoming holidays jack your progress. There are many things you can do to help make things easier on yourself. One tip is to drink plenty of water. Sometimes we can confuse being thirsty with being hungry and water will help curb you from making less healthy choices. What's one thing you do to help yourself stay on the right path when temptation creeps in?
- Bone broth soup
- Baked chicken thighs, potatoes and onions in salt, honey and chili with pickled beetroot
- Hard boiled eggs
- F.s.orange juice in the morning
- Home made bread with baked onion and chicken greese
- Wax peppers
- Rice cakes
- Apples and plums
- I also ate a banana, plums and rice cake before training as I had quite a busy day.. Today I pre-baked 12 pizzas (my oven is from the early 1900's so it can hardly bake one at a time..), cooked the tomato sauce, made a tiramisu for my Man and his little brother who is going to stay with us tomorrow. Prepared his light dinner as he is not on warrior diet. Prepared my chicken for the pizza topping. Also, I made some hard boiled eggs, dinner for today, cleaned the house and worked a bit too.. Still have to do the ironing, finish my work, and clean the bathroom.. What a Friday. But I still managed to train a bit, so it was awesome😁😊😄😎🤘 --------------------------------------
Hello awesome people of the IG. Apologies if I'm not following you well enough these days. Still shaking off that respiratory sh!t that got me a month ago :P Last night I had to go to the ER because I couldn't breathe well (scary AF, this never happens to me) and this evening I sprained my ankle.
So today I went for some retail therapy, a great literature class and baked these cookies in a weird posture, leg elevated haha
I must confess they're hard to bake, but I seem to finally have gotten the hang of it! :) No sugar added and no substitutes either: just as I like it ;) So indulge away!
Takk @cathrineyoga for inspo! || OATMEAL COOKIES
■ 1 3/4 cups rolled oats (NOT steel-cut).
■ 2 very ripe bananas
■ Raw ginger (grind)
■ Christmas/hot spices: ground cloves, nutmeg, cardamom, cinnamon. ■ Flavours: 100% chocolate (turn into chips with a knife), pecans (chop), pumpkin & sunflower seeds or apple & black grapes (grind together into small pieces). The cookies with apple & grapes hold less together but taste much better and sweeter.
■ Mash the bananas into a cream. ■ Add the ginger & spices.
■ Fold in the oats. ■ Add the chocolate, apple & grapes.
■ Coat an oven tray with EVO oil.
■ Form the cookies with 2 Tbsp mix each, give them a pat with the spoon.
■ Add the pecans. Add the seeds if using them. Lightly insert them in the mix.
■ Bake for about 15 minutes in a preheated oven, at 180 degrees.
■ Let cool and transfer to a cooling rack.
NB: Oatmeal cookies aren't supposed to be hard, just together.
They keep up to 2 days in a cookie tin/airtight container.
What is your healthy comfort food? ♡
A quick break between morning classes was a chance to heat up breakie. A tofu scramble with peppers and spinach and some homefries with vegan dill. Definitely needed this morning. Paired with a protein iced coffee and I’m about ready for these deadlifts coming up! Food is fuel so take care of your body! You wouldn’t run your car on windex would you?
I am re-reading ‘Women’s Wellness Wisdom’ and a quote that stood out for me today was this ... “It is truly transformational when you shift your focus from weight and calories to health and nutrition. It is, after all, nutrients that keep us alive. The better nourished we are, the better all of our inner processes function, the better our digestion works, we sleep better, have better energy and the happier we are... Shift your focus to Nourishing yourself” Dr Libby Weaver
Instead of looking at food as ‘heathly’ view it as ‘nourishing’. If you get the inside right, the outside falls into place
