She is supervising that I don’t cheat on my meal.. This new timed nutrition meal plan has been challenging, eating every 2-3 hours -but, I love that I don’t have to count calories, and the eating plan color-coded containers makes the nutrition easy.
Dracula’s eggs (only because they are stuffed with homemade liver pate). Do you make your own liver pate? Liver is by far one for the most nutrient dense foods. Just make sure you buy it from a farm that raises animals free range, on a pasture. #liver#liverpate Recipe inside TRANSFORMATION 10. Message me if you want to know what that is.
I. Love. January (& scrambled tofu^)☃️ But not for the cold weather (which apparently doesn't even happen in California 👏🏼) but for resolutions. I know some people believe it can be overrated to make resolutions, but I am not from that camp 🙅🏻♀️i love them! Making resolutions is a declaration to yourself that change it possible and that there is room to grow. I love looking at all the areas of my life and seeing where I have grown and where I need change. There is something exciting and empowering about making myself one step closer to being the best version of myself. I have one health goal for 2018 that I'm really excited about
2017 (& many years before) have been revolved around "healing" chronic pains of my body. Physical pain has made me desperate to try "this protocol" or that extreme diet in efforts to find any sort of healing. But for the past month and in 2018, my goal is no longer "healing. If there is something I've learned in 2017, it's that our body is always fighting for us. It wants to heal. But sometimes putting it through strict, constant, rigorous effort & protocols & elimination diets can actually really stress it out. And, like everyone with pain conditions knows, stress normally results is worse flare ups 🤦🏽♀️I think the body just wants to be loved, and giving trust back to my body is a goal I have for 2018. Following a plant-based, vegan diet has already transformed my health from the place it was at 5 months ago 🍓 But I have still had my moments of pain where I begin to over-control. I begin stressing out that I could be doing MORE to fix myself. But I think what my body is asking for right now is trust, time and variety in all the good plant foods 🥗
My 2018 is all about cultivating a sustainable, cruelty-free and loving way of eating that I can enjoy, live by and feel relaxed (not stressed) while doing. I want to encourage people fighting to “heal” themselves to stress a little less and trust a little more. That way more energy can be devoted to people/things outside yourself! THATS IMPORTANT. Try to find a good naturopath and remember to breathe. You are doing the best you can do, and that's all your body is asking for 🌼
The way to achieve your best body and maintain it, whilst feeling healthy, is to check all the ingredients. Plus buy organic, this is not only The Information Age, it’s The Chemical Age, and chemicals hidden in food can not only cause inflammation in your gut but also in your brain.
I found my food heaven: a gluten-free plant-based restaurant serving a six-course set menu in a restored farmhouse. Most ingredients were harvested in the morning for this evening’s dishes. We started out by sampling local fruits and then slowly worked our way through a soup course, a salad course, a savory appetizer, an entree, and dessert. Every course was simply incredible - delicious, fresh, creative, and refined. Pictured is the amazing restorative soup topped with macadamia nut “Parmesan.” We have already made reservations to return again in a few days. I am so happy that places like this exist!
Ayurveda: Eat to Heal!
Next Sunday 1-3pm with @roots.healing from @laughinglotussf
Rooted in India's most cherished scriptures known as the Vedas, Ayurveda is the ancient Indian science of preventative health and healing, as well as, a philosophy of living. One of the three pillars of life and good health, according to Ayurveda, is our relationship to food. We are not what we eat but rather what we digest.
In this two hour workshop, Minerva will guide you through the foundation of Ayurvedic philosophy - the Panchamahabhutas (five great elements), how they combine to create Doshas (our nature) and the importance of these concepts in relationship to your overall health. Minerva will walk you through Ayurveda’s perspective on Ahara (food), Rasa (tastes) and how to work with all these concepts to reconnect with your food in ways to support your overall health. You’ll walk away inspired to develop a more mindful relationship with your food. "Let food be my medicine"

My husband went to a little organic market this morning and brought back a bunch of these little strawberry papayas. They are juicy and sweet and amazing, and I’m going be eating one every day! He also brought back a mango smoothie and an incredible açaí bowl - so I think we found our breakfast place for this trip.
The nutritious world of squash! A great replacement for some of the foods you normally eat that are full of starch. Spaghetti Squash can replace pasta. Kabocha Squash can be used to replace Sweet Potatoes in pie. Try Butternut Squash French fries, they're amazing! Celebrating ferments this morning with a Street food kind of brunch
This brunch features another of my January food picks: leeks; a good source of vitamin k and folate. Leeks can be a comforting sweet addition to the January diet being at its peak for harvesting!
Leek and potato cakes with sautéd spinach and sea vegetables, pickled beets and fermented carrots with grapefruit and Rosemary kefir.
This combo is a great source of iron, vitamin c, iodine, calcium, vitamin k and Probiotics.
My #Whole30 is about starting to heal my gut. One of the best ways for me to do that is to eat and drink ferments. I’ve always loved Harvest Roots Ferments, and their beet kvass is great! It is a much needed nutrient dense probiotic boost. #eattoheal#fermentedfoodsanddrinks#wholehealth
Good morning everyone. I hope you all slept well and had some lovely dreams. #Breakfast was prune puree with some almonds and cinnamon, a cup of orange tea and a glass of buttermilk. I promised you guys an update to what’s going on right now…well…a lot is going on. I’ve fallen back into my rituals and obsessive compulsions. My psychiatrist increased my dosis…so right now im trying to adapt to the new amount. My anxiety is horrible, and honestly - my parents (especially my dad) isn’t helping at all. He’s always ridiculing my anxiety with comments such as “Just stop” or “ No, stop with that” My mom is too afraid to say something or even go against my dad. I’m not sure…I know he’s probably just stressed and stuff, but he really just makes me feel like I’m annoying. My dad is usually a loving and caring father; except when he’s stressed…then he just turns so….I don’t know…distant. But we’re going into town today, so I think it’s getting much better. I still struggle a lot with eating, and I’m really trying my best. I just want my parents (especially my mom) to believe some more in me. Thankfully, I’ve got the most amazing best friends, who always manage to turn my frown upside down. Anyways; The to do list for today: - Change Otto’s cage - Grocery Shopping - A small trip into town with my parents. We’re going to look for some neat LP’s!
A change from my usual lunchtime smoothie; today, I had a taste for something more savory. A bowl of fresh veggies hit the mark - artichoke hearts, olives, Persian cucumber, French radishes, and roasted yam on a bed of Romaine lettuce with a cilantro and dill dressing.
How is everyone’s New Year Resolutions going??? I know Tim and I are working on detoxing our body and it feels GREAT! I have spent more time meal prepping and planning which isn’t a strong suit of mine (affirmations) but I am down weight and I feel empowered! I have supplements that are working with my lifestyle change that keep me feeling suppercharged🙌❤️ 28 days of no caffeine is no joke but everyday it has gotten easier and I am in love with hot lemon water with a dash of stevia! #newyeargoals#lunch#eattofuelyourbody#eattoheal#suppliment#poweredbyplexus#summerbodygoals
Some of the LivingThruGrace Crew have already begun their weekending 😁. It looks like some girl chat while Clawdie’s helping Violet look her best!
Though it’s pretty frosty here a chill breakie continues to hit the spot with a veg/fruit juice, & Silk Coconut 🥥 yogurt unsweetened & mixed with our own raspberry jam 😋 topped with Quinoa, ( a seed not a grain😊) Cinnamon which slows down sugar absorption, a few hemp hearts 💕 and sesame seeds👏🏽😋
Sesame seeds are loaded with health boosting nutrients such as helping to maintain healthy Blood Pressure 👍🏽 high in Magnesium ( which helps to manage diabetes, helping with headaches, muscle cramps, managing depression and
anxiety) Iron, Calcium, Fiber👏🏽😁& Vitamin B6. ..............................................
Sesame seeds are powerful cancer fighters due to Phytate an antioxidant that reduces effects of free radicals🙌🏽 (that cause many forms of cancer) Woo hoo!
A healthy start to the day with food filled with fuel & body goodness😊
