🎧A Better Tomorrow isn’t simply the name of the latest Wu-Tang Clan album, it’s also RZA‘s hope for the world.
🎧He encourages fans to follow in his footsteps and make the change and go vegan because, as he puts it, it doesn’t make sense to put “dead flesh” into a “live body.”
🎧The musician understands that the choices he makes in his own life can either contribute to or help alleviate the pain and suffering that animals experience at the hands of the meat industry.
🎧RZA, along with PETA friend Masta Killa and other Wu-Tang members, has chosen to live better today, knowing that it’ll truly make for a better tomorrow. And he hopes others will be inspired to go vegan to help to save the lives of animals and for their own well-being.
🎧Animals value their lives just as much as you value yours. Yet their lives are sacrificed for profit, and human health suffers because of it. RZA makes the point that we shouldn’t be putting the product of such stress and death into our living bodies.

On Saturday night we rescued 7 game hens who were being raised for slaughter. They were bred by a cockfighting breeder, who didn't want them because they were female. He sold them to someone who intended to eat them. The woman who bought them kept them in a tiny, filthy cage. Luckily, a couple activists were able to get them out and now they are here at the sanctuary, safe and sound ❤

🍝🍝EASY WEEKNIGHT VEG PASTA
1 x thinly sliced onion
2 tbsp olive oil
Red wine to taste
1/2 head of broccoli, chopped
1 x tin of Chickpeas
1 x tin crushed tomatoes
Italian herbs (oregano, basil, rosemary)
Roughly chopped baby spinach
Served with spelt spiral pasta for something a lil different! Spelt is a bit healthier than white pasta & has more fibre and protein and is wheat free. I barely noticed a taste difference!

Veggie fried rice with Gardein Chick'n for dinner tonight. 😍❤️😋I brought frozen vegan protein with me and am hoping it will last for the full 5 weeks I'm in the Bahamas. It can be tough finding vegan protein subs while traveling. 🌎 I have plenty of access to rice and beans and leafy green veggies so I will be just fine, but I am curious...if you are vegan and travel, do you take food with you or hope for the best?

⚡️🍫 DARK CHOCOLATE VEGAN ECLIPSE CAKE 🍫⚡️ Embrace the powerful energy of this solar phenomenon with an extra ooey gooey chocolate cake 🌑🎂🌑 Topped with a smooth, quick & simple avocado fudge frosting, this dessert complements the rich possibilities that the cosmos gives us today 🌘
🌟1 cup gluten-free flour
🌟6 Tbsp Dutch dark cocoa powder
🌟1/2 tsp baking powder
🌟1/2 tsp salt
🌟3/4 cup granulated sugar of choice
🌟1/2 cup vegan mini chocolate chips
🌟1/3 cup coconut milk yogurt
🌟2/3 cup water
🌟1/4 cup almond butter
🌟2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 F, and grease an 8-inch square or round pan. Set aside. In a large bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and sugar. Stir very well. (If nut butter is not stir-able, gently heat until soft.) In a new bowl, whisk nut butter, yogurt, water, chocolate chips and vanilla. Pour wet into dry and stir until just combined (don’t over-mix). Pour in pan & bake for 25 minutes. Let cool and place in the fridge. This cake becomes even more rich overnight, so if you can wait a day to eat it I promise it will be worth it!
Chocolate Avocado Frosting:
🥑2 ripe avocados
🥑1/2 cup cocoa powder
🥑6-8 tbsp pure maple syrup or sweetener of choice
🥑1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
🥑1/8 tsp salt
🥑2 Tbsp coconut oil
Mix in blender until creamy and smooth. Top with whatever you desire! Enjoy while you set your intentions for this heart-opening, conscious-expanding day 🌑💡💫✨⚡️🔥☄️

I feel like I keep saying this but we really don't eat much processed food! We just happened to find the new #Vegan @quorn_uk burgers and we just had to try them!
We had the burgers in wholemeal baps with onion, mustard, ketchup, lettuce, shredded carrot and purple cabbage. We also had potato wedges with peri peri seasoning and "buttery" corn on the cob. My corn on the cob is no longer "on the cob", Ant cut it off for me because otherwise I get trypophobia feels and want to vom 😷😂 For "butter" we used Vitalite spread. .
The burger was tasty, a nice Monday treat 😄🍔
Let's talk about Palm Oil. 🌴 I try to avoid all oils for health reasons, I'd much rather eat a handful of olives versus a tbsp of oil, but sometimes a blob of marg is what you need. Unfortunately most margarines contain palm oil. In the UK, 68% of imported palm oil products are used for food with 20% being used in biscuits. However, 23% of palm oil and palm kernel oil plus 80% of palm kernel meat is used in animal feed. It's also used in cleaning products and personal care products. (Stats from DEFRA 2009 report, import volumes have since decreased but I wouldn't have thought the usage proportions would have.) Palm oil is a cheap hydrogenated fat, cheaper than vegetable fat. It is used in a lot of vegan friendly foods as it makes a good butter replacement, hence why you'll find it in cakes, biscuits and pastry. The thing that annoys me is when I see carnist friends sharing memes about how vegans are killing orangutans but they don't seem to realise that they're inadvertently eating it too when they eat meat. Most vegans I know avoid the stuff for ethical reasons so even more of a reason to be narked at those memes 😒 Any way, just my two pence worth. ✌💚🌱
