Yoga has proven to me that there is a vast realm of intellect that exists beyond the minuscule aspect of my tiny little mind. In that realm lies my freedom. And that freedom is only accessible if I consciously choose to live in presence, without judgement, without opinion, but rather as a silent observer to each passing moment of my life. Only then am I able to see the toxic traps I create by compulsively living in old memories or fearful anticipation. These mental toxins are the root cause of depression, anxiety and emotional suffering. And to be trapped in my own thinking is the worst form of self sabotage. But to merely observe my thoughts without judgement, shame or guilt, is were the first step of my awakening began. And in awakening is where I believe my intellect, if any exists, begins to truly show itself. In awakening, I understand that I really know nothing at all. In awakening I am just the audience watching the dance. In awakening, I am able, with no or little effort, to invite others to do the same. This is my practice. This my why. This is my yoga. This is why the work never stops. ❤️

Decide on what you feel is success, know that the definition will change, and pay attention to all of the truly great things around you. Realize that if you have a place to sleep you are lucky. If you have enough food to eat you are very lucky. If you are surrounded by loving fun people, The Ultimate Life is nearly fulfilled. Still you need to accomplish things to feel fulfilled.
This you should do but not take so seriously. Balancing achievement and not taking things too seriously is a practice. But it’s a fun practice.
Practice smiling when things go wrong.
Practice thinking about what success looks like.

Starting this #monday right is really giving me a boost today! I cannot express how including a #homeyogapractice into my schedule has improved my #yogaskills , #meditation , and overall well being! I've stopped attending classes altogether actually (so expensive!) and have set up a space in my living room to practice my yoga, weight training, and meditation. I was so sick of chasing after the teachers or particular classes I preferred, and realized I could just implement what I've learned over the past 5 years and give my body exactly what it needs at all times, FOR FREE! yes I've added a bolster and blocks to my little home studio, which costs a little dough, but it's nothing compared to studio prices! Not to mention I've learned that there is NO BETTER teacher than yourself and a mirror! We all crave that one on one attention from our yoga instructors, but with 20 people in a class, let's be honest it ain't gonna happen for every pose. There usually are not mirrors in yoga classes, and it takes time for #yogis to know what it feels like to do a pose correctly. The first step for me personally is visualizing- alignment, hip width stances, etc. A mirror does the visualization for me! I can make sure I am aligned before I even start a #yogasession and use the mirror as a guide to stay aligned throughout it. In der Stille siehst Du über die Körper, die Gedanken, die Emotionen, das bunte Treiben hinaus. Du kehrst ein in den Frieden und die Liebe des Augenblicks. Es mag zu Beginn mit Verwirrung und Gedanken überlagert sein. Übe, nur wenn Du beginnst, wirst Du der Stille wieder weilen.
Versuche deinen scheinbaren Körper und die Körper mit denen er in Interaktion steht von außen zu betrachten. Zu spüren wie Du in Liebe und Frieden handelst. Nicht reagieren zu wollen, sondern einfach das "Passieren Lassen" zu lassen.
