“Here's another shot from our epic sunrise at Horse Head Rock. This one was taken a little closer and further right to get some better water movement. The tide was rushing in and my gear was soaked, but I did managed a few decent shots before retreating back around the rocks.”

The hardest thing in life is being disregarded by people you respect.
Being an upcoming creator is hard. You're either in or out; there is no in between. Until you reach a certain size and impact, people will forget about you as quickly as they forget their dreams. Inevitably, you start to measure yourself in the percentual engagement per post and how fast your following grows, while you rush to become part of the k, establishing an authority. You're so caught up in this stupid game, the inner need to constantly one-up oneself and post frequently evolves.
During the times of my Paris series, I just came back from London and realized how many shots I had left to post, so I started posting daily to fit them all in this year. One of the shots was this court from ground perspective. The day I intended to post and reviewed it at work however, I was somewhat unsatisfied with how my edit turned out on Retina. Instead of being reasonable and postpone it a day, I let the pressure take control and found a shot that was EXACTLY like mine, but with a slightly more elaborate edit, leading to me unknowingly ripping off @alexpenfornis. What I did wasn't right and it went against all my principles of integrity. Alex and I have cleared this situation last week and there is no more bad blood between us, but I had to take some time off after being confronted with this red flag in order to recall my values. This isn't an excuse as the 'unknowingly' part is irrelevant, but I just want to be transparent and help people faced with a similar situation – I might as well have disregarded the whole situation and not have lost a word about it, but instead I decided to take responsibility. If you're interested in the conversation Alex and I had or have any further questions, feel free to DM me.
The former Facebook exec recently said: "I think we have created tools that are ripping apart the social fabric of how society works. The short-term, dopamine-driven feedback loops we’ve created are destroying how society works. No civil discourse, no cooperation; misinformation, mistruth. You are being programmed." – […]
