Let's talk Business 102:
Topic - email etiquette or what's referred to now as netiquette.
Last week I received a response to an email I initially sent. My email was requesting more information. The response I received, lets just say the tone rubbed me the wrong way. Hence the reason for today's tip.
Are you communicating clearly via email??? To read emails where you know the keyboard was smoking when the send button was clicked....frustrating to say the least!!!
• • •
Here are a few things to remember when sending email correspondence :
1) Keep your message short, sweet and to the point. You don't want to lose the persons attention by being too wordy.
2) Do not type in all capital letters, it comes off as aggressive.
3) Start off with a greeting or salutation.
4) Proofread and spell check before sending and repeat as many times as necessary.
5) Only use 'reply all' when absolutely necessary. Email chains are frustrating and you don't need to tag anyone in to chime into your conversation.

Lesson: be clear and concise when communicating via email. Use good judgement and proper etiquette as you would in any other business environment.
Moral of my story...stay professional even when under pressure. The individual ended up seeing the error in their ways and appreciated my thoroughness. 😉😉😋😋
Behind every Superficial line, there is a significant deep fascial line. This is a line that is also associated or thought about a lot in throwing/overhead athletics, but from my perspective I also see a lot of stabilization written all over this one. What’s also interesting too is that the deep back arm line has two origins--One begins at the origin of the rhomboids and heads over to their insertion on the medial border of the scapula. The line continues on the fibers of the infraspinatus and teres minor muscles. The second origin begins on the lateral occiput at the origin of the rectus capitus lateralis and continues to the cervical vertebrae. Then it travels down the fibers of the levator scapula to the superior angle of the scapula and melds into the supraspinatus muscle in the supraspinous fossa of the scapula.
Functionally, when we move our arm away from our body, this group works to position the scapula and rotate the humerus (rotator cuff). In weight bearing (push up/plank) position, it provides stability from side to side.
By anatomy alone you can see how people with shoulder pain can easily have neck pain and headaches! And think about our folks recovering from rotator cuff repairs—there’s more to rehab than doing those standard, thera-band cuff exercises! And when we look at our neck pain or shoulder pain patients, the levator or rotator cuff respectively get a lot of blame. Perhaps we should look away…I tend to look at lot at cervical flexors (you know, that front to back balance thing) but it would also be prudent to check the fascial connections, up or down the line. And if you're on the receiving end of pain in these areas but self-care hasn't panned out, come see a PT

Tonight me and a few of my teammates held a Ditch and Switch class and did a Savvy Minerals makeup demo. It was so much fun! I love educating people on how to rid their homes of harmful ingredients. I shared a little bit of my personal story and it reminded me of how thankful I am that I grabbed a starter kit from Young Living. Getting my kit started my wellness journey and has helped me clean up my house. I used to trust the big brands like Johnson and Johnsons until I started learning about the ingredients they used. Now most of the products I use on my kids are from Young Living. I know they're pure and free of scary ingredients. I love that I can get my oils, household cleaner, makeup and kid products all from one trusted place. 🙌🏻❤️

“I can’t imagine a day passing without playing chess,” says Sharif Wasswa Mbaziira. “It’s become part of my life.” Every day at 3 p.m., after his classes, he and fellow enthusiasts gather to play chess in their school, the Kampala School of the Physically Handicapped. But until two years ago, he had never heard of the game that he now hopes to make his living on. Mbaziira is one of more than 1,400 kids who have been through Robert Katende’s SOM Chess Academy, where Katende challenges chess elitism by teaching children the game. ⠀

Awesome screening of #TheLincolnSchoolStory . Even had the opportunity to meet one of the children that marched alongside their mothers to fight for integration. This took place in our own backyard- right in Hillsboro, Ohio and not that long ago.
Took Kennedi along because I use every opportunity I get to remind her that education, especially a great education, is not to be taken for granted. Those ladies talked about how the men worked while they protested. How they set up home schools in their neighborhood and each mom would come home and teach a different subject after they finished their peaceful protest. For 2 years they marched in front of Webster Middle School to demand an opportunity for a good education. Those women dropped some jewels tonight. Research the story. #Legacy#Education#PlessyVsFerguson#BrownVsBoardOfEducation#Integration#SeparateAndNotEqual#FightForOurKidsFutures#RealMoms #
#NeckAndShoulderStretch 🔥This is a classic stretch that can be done to temporarily relieve neck tightness anywhere you are. We chose to do it seated for all you seated desk workers👩💻, but it can be done standing as well. Hold this stretch on each side for 30 seconds to 2 minutes. ⏱
Don’t be lazy with this stretch.🤤 If you are sitting in a chair, sit UPRIGHT. Find your neutral pelvis so that your back isn’t arched 🐋or rounded🐬. Pull your ribcage down ⬇️to engage the abdominals and pull your shoulder blades down ⬇️away from your ears and slightly back⬅️. Retract the head. Get your posture in good alignment before doing this stretch. After you finish it… HOLD yourself in that good posture. .
Although this stretch may feel great, it will not solve your neck and shoulder tightness. You HAVE to utilize scapular strengthening 💪exercises to KEEP your shoulders down away from the ears. Stretching a muscle will only keep the shoulder down temporarily⌛️. It will tighten and rise back up over the next day! It is a viscous cycle unless you strengthen those lower traps and your serratus anterior!

Thieves Fruit & Veggie Soak to the rescue!
We're guessing that you don't always rinse off your apple before biting off a chunk. (Neither do we!) But after reading the Environmental Working Group's annual Shopper's Guide to Pesticides, you might think twice before taking that bite.
Every year, the EWG breaks down which fruits and vegetables have the most pesticides and which have the fewest. Their mission is to make food supply more transparent in order to help you decide when it's worth spending extra for organic produce.
For the fifth year in a row, apples have topped the "dirty" list, because of the chemicals applied to the crop before and after harvest to preserve them. And for the second consecutive year, avocados topped the "clean" list, with only 1% of samples showing any detectable pesticides. We'll take any excuse to eat more avocados.
So if it works within your budget, the EWG recommends buying organic whenever possible. And if it's just not doable right now, their guide can help you make more informed choices. The EWG recommends that you eat more fruits and vegetables — even if you're exposed to pesticides — but now you'll have a better strategy.
Some key findings from the report:
The average potato had more pesticides by weight than any other produce.
A single grape sample and a sweet bell pepper sample contained 15 pesticides.
Single samples of cherry tomatoes, nectarines, peaches, imported snap peas and strawberries showed 13 different pesticides apiece.
The fruits and veggies with the most pesticides (the "Dirty Dozen Plus") are:
Sweet bell peppers
Snap peas (imported)
The "Dirty Dozen Plus" includes:
Kale / Collard greens
And the fruits and veggies with the least pesticides (the "Clean Fifteen") are:
Sweet peas (frozen)

#sidewalkscience takes Seattle with guest artist @spaceeceecee!!! Series on the sun - Part 1 (the core)
Q: What are the different layers of the sun? A: Our sun has different layers, and different processes occur within each layer. At the center of the sun is its core, which reaches 15 million degrees Celsius. Under intense pressure and temperature in the core, hydrogen atoms fuse together to form helium in a process called nuclear fusion. Besides producing helium, nuclear fusion produces great amounts of energy. #education#chalkart#sidewalkart#art#sun#nuclearfusion
