A bottle of 1994 Araujo Eisele Vineyard Cab. Sau. .
Very pure and concentrated , rich in favour with wonderful balance between its silky tannin, layers of cassis and dark fruit . Long finish with more than 1 min in the mouth. What a wine ! Cheers ~
First planted to vines in the 1880s, Eisele Vineyard sits in the northeast Napa Valley. Farmed organically since 1998 and biodynamically since 2000, the site has been principally dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon for the last fifty years. Beginning with the inaugural release bearing the Eisele name in 1971, this iconic vineyard has received consistent recognition for possessing one of the great terroirs of Napa Valley. This famous estate is now fully controlled, in both a viticultural and winemaking standpoint, by Château Latour’s François Pinault and his general manager Frédéric Engerer. The new releases include their second wine, the Altagracia. To learn more about our special Eisele offer, call us at +632 8405319
Fantastic first trip to Napa - what an extraordinary region!
Tasting fresh and delicious wines in their homeland with the friends behind them.
Also seeing the wild turkeys (Cuvaison), Scottish highland cattle (Eisele), the winery dogs (Turley), spectacular-panoramic views (Harlan) and hearing the stories of the TD9 tractor (Shafer). THANK YOU!

The #eisele vineyard in #napavalley is one of the best terroirs in the valley. It's rocky, volcanic soils and access to water from 2 streams made it the perfect vineyard to use the biodynamic farming techniques as laid down by Rudolf Steiner in the 1920's.... Even though the vineyard had been planted since the late 1800's, it did not begin producing world class #Cabernet Sauvignon until 1971, when Ridge produced the now, incredibly rare Ridge #eiselevineyard designated wine.... Made famous by the Eisele family, who sold it to the family that founded #araujovineyards who sold it to the owners of #chateaulatour the wines have never been better... For more information on these wines, vineyards and yes, even tasting notes, please visit my site using the link in my profile. .... All 3 of these wines were just great, especially the now legendary 1971 #ridgevineyards Eisele... What classic #californiawines have you tasted that really moved you?
“One of the greatest terroirs in all of Napa Valley, if not all of California…. world-class wines of first-growth quality”
Robert Parker, Oct 2016
Nearly three years ago Araujo (as it was then known) was the highlight of our week-long trip around Napa and Sonoma.
The 38 ha. estate, now under the same ownership as Ch. Latour has been and renamed ‘Eisele Vineyard’ and continues to produce some of California’s finest wines with Parker reassuring his readers that “the greatness from this fabulous terroir continues unabated.” As huge fans of this estate we are very pleased to be able to offer their newest 2014 releases.
Please let us know if you are interested.
