The first dirtbox I ever bought. I remember spying it and an EHX Holy Grail reverb in the corner of a cabinet in the local hock shop and throwing down an assortment of coins and fivers to liberate them both.
Up until just before that point I had been pretty oblivious to how sounds were made and I just assumed that it was all done in studios with machines the size of dishwashers responsible for all the warped fuzz and echoes on all the records I loved.
I used to play clean, facing my tiny amp and wishing I had something that made my guitar sound like a chainsaw being revved in St. Peter's basilica. I plugged this and the Holy Grail in and it was like seeing new colours immediately. Hats off to @EHX maestro Mike Matthews. Have a fuzzy Friday gittern plucking friends! 🤘#mikematthewsforpresident#fuzzpedal#electroharmonix
