TABLE SALT VS HIMALAYAN SALT
Salt has come a long way from being a highly valued precious element. Nowadays, its become controversial and somewhat demonized 'anti-nutrient.' Consequently, people consuming excess sodium can suffer from high blood pressure, stoke and cardiovascular disease.
Table salt differ from naturally occurring salt because all of its minerals. Manufacturers strip our natural potassium during the refining process. This is damaging to health because it interferes with the body's natural sodium and potassium balance. When salt is chemically processed and bleached, other downsides are added. This kind of salt may typically contain added chemicals such as ammonia or aluminium.
Himalayan salt contains 84 trace minerals and electrolytes. It also contains triple the amounts of potassium per serving. Himalayan salt attributes to many health benefits which include electrolyte balance, thyroid function, adrenal health and migraine relief. You can buy this salt at any health or ethnic food store. If you are looking for quality, look for darker pink salt indicating higher mineral content.
There is no harm in adding Himalayan rock salt to your diet in small amounts. In fact, replacing table salt with Himalayan rock salt can be good for you with the added minerals to improve your overall health.
Giving this a try tonight. Heard great things from a lot of keto people. The last time I started keto I had serious leg cramps, so I’m trying to keep my sodium, potassium, and magnesium levels up before I officially start. Also hoping it has the calming effect it claims ✨.

A new year often means new year's resolutions. As we say hello to 2018, many of us are taking time to reflect and reevaluate our life choices. The new year is a perfect time to make changes happen. Often we hear our friends resolve to eat healthier, workout more and/or drink less. (At least two out of three isn't bad ;) ❕
In 2018, I have resolved to take 1000 barre classes and to do a better job hydrating throughout the day (which I haven't always been the best at). My friends @tenwater helped me kick start my year with a case of their water. TEN Spring Water is sourced from some of the purest springs in America. Not only does it have a pH of 10 but its chocked full of alkaline minerals and electrolytes. What more do you need? ❕

I love this stuff! I drink alot of water and at least one scoop of #electrolytes mix per day. Flavour your water and get fantastic benefits at the same time.
The vega and ultima brands taste good in general but the doses arent really high enough. Emergen-c and ener-c contains sugar and other ingredients I don't want. And just not high quality. Save your sugar intake eating fresh or frozen fruit.
#biosteel is my fav! tastes good, you'll absorb water better with minerals in it, bio steel also contains b vitamins and amino acids! And NO SUGAR and no preservatives. Sure if I was up in the mountains for 6 hours then I want one with sugar but not on a daily basis.
Another electrolyte #hydrate#beautyelixir I love is #agequencher brand out of Toronto. Orange flavour. Contains b vitamins, electrolyte minerals, L-glutamine amino acid (good for muscle recovery, anti-catabolic and gut health), and vit c. @agequencher you have to order online. Let's face it wrinkles are mostly lost collagen and dehydration so HYDRATE!!!!! sweetened with stevia. High quality ingredients.

4/7 "Vitamin D deficiency is a growing epidemic that may be at the root of seasonal depression"
If you’ve ever raced outside to enjoy the first warm and sunny day of the year, you’re not alone. One reason for this common reaction is that our bodies are trying to recover from being deprived of the benefits of sunlight.
Actually, lack of sunlight is seen as a leading cause in the spreading epidemic of vitamin D deficiency.
It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly why vitamin D deficiency is so common. Indeed, there are a variety of reasons which might explain it.
A primary one is the original source of vitamin D: the sun. So, whether you live in a cold and cloudy environment, or simply work long hours in the office, it’s likely you’re in need of some vitamin D.
Also getting in the way is the coating of sunscreen we apply when we do get time outdoors. Yes, it’s an important preventive measure against skin cancer – but by blocking out the sun’s rays, sunscreen also prevents the body from metabolizing vitamin D.
Also at risk are people with dark skin, whose natural color prevents their bodies from absorbing a lot of sunlight.
The consequences of this epidemic are serious.
In fact, many practitioners who consider the benefits of vitamin supplements are discovering a link between vitamin D deficiency and depression. This is especially true for the winter depression that commonly affects people in cold climates.
Unfortunately, though, you can’t just pop a couple of vitamin D pills and kill your winter blues.
Vitamin D is unique because it needs to get stored in the body’s fat, which is a slow and time consuming process. This means it can take six months to a year for your body to replenish its vitamin D levels.
So, to prevent those winter blues, the best course of action is to plan ahead and start taking vitamin D at least as early as summertime 📚 Blinkist® #thevitaminsolution#vitamins#healthyfood#health#tailopez#fit#fitness#food#electrolytes#protein#lifestyle#gym#workout#mindset#bestseller#knowledge#learn#book#read#summer#nutrishop#supplements#vitaminD#bookstagram#gb3
When your supplements order comes in from Amazon and it's like Christmas morning😁😀😄👍🙌🙌. It's pretty sad what gets you excited now lol. This would normally be my reaction of a Sephora box of makeup or clothes.
Also ordered a #limms agility ladder to add to my home gym days. My luck I'll end up tripping up and in a cast but I'll give it a shot lol.
The Only thing I'm not recommending is the collagen peptides in the back by Zhou. I was taking it for a week, all while struggling to keep my proteins down without realizing it had 10 friggin grams of protein per scoop, before a post by my lovely friend @this.is.keto made me take a look! So I had forgot I had it on subscribe and save and it showed up. $27 wasted. So I'm switching to one with lower protein grams. I'd rather save my protein for food!
Happy Sunday Everyone! Go Patriots! Sorry, had to slip it in!
After not sleeping in months, as I have been trying to adjust to having 3 kids 3 and under and still am only 8 weeks postpartum, today I felt like a complete basket case. 😫🤪Thankfully, @vaynerj held down the fort, with a baby and two sick 😷toddlers, 1 teething and with pink eye and the other with an ear infection 🤢, while I rested as much as I could. Being beyond 😴 exhausted, I craved “comfort food”. (I put that in quotes because I’m still figuring out what “comfort food” is to me now, given that what used to be comfort, now makes me feel sick and isn’t good for me). But, I was feeling like the sensation of eating pizza and a soda 🥤 but wanted to eat nourishing food and feel good afterwards. I ordered a cauliflower crust pizza 🍕 with no cheese, just sauce, peppers, onions and mushrooms 🍄 and had a @gtskombucha with it filled with #electrolytes and #probiotics . I got the same sensation, it was sooo delicious and nourishing and I feel great after!
It has taken me a long time to learn to listen to what my body needs and feed it the right way. I often would feel I wanted “comfort food” but no I longer got the same sensation from what used to be “comfort foods” for me. But sometimes it was a nostalgic feeling of, for example, the textures of pasta and pizza that I wanted as I ate those foods growing up, but my body could no longer tolerate the toxic food 🥘 🚫or my body craved nutrients that aren’t present in these foods and I would feel sick 🤮 and unsatisfied after. So, I learned to tap into really understanding what I wanted in sensation (soft, crunchy, cold, hot, etc.), the feeling I wanted after, and the nutrients my body craved.
There’s always a way to modify your choices to make better ones for you and your body, it just takes stopping to tune in and ask yourself, instead of being on auto pilot and making the same choices you had in the past, that no longer serve you. No need to ever deprive yourself, just tune in and make conscious choices that you will be thankful for later.
Ultima Replenisher Electrolytes
I really love this product. The taste is fantastic and since trying this over the last month I have really felt the difference from days I have it and days I don’t. Now since using Zip Fizz on workout days I use Ultima on non workout days. I have a scoop to my water bottle and then keep refilling it so the taste stays for most of the day. I even put a little in my kids water and they love it. The only downside is it’s pricey. I got mine at Natural Grocers and it was less than Amazon. Will definitely be buying again.

#MadafuFacts -Coconuts grow on large palm trees known scientifically as Cocos nucifera. Despite the name, the coconut is a fruit rather than a nut.
Coconut water is the juice found in the center of a young, green coconut. It helps nourish the fruit.
As the coconut matures, some of the juice remains in liquid form, while the rest ripens into the solid white flesh known as coconut meat.
Coconut water is produced naturally in the fruit and contains 94% water and very little fat.
It should not be confused with coconut milk, which is made by adding water to grated coconut meat. It contains about 50% water and is very high in coconut fat.
Coconuts take 10–12 months to fully mature. Coconut water typically comes from young coconuts about 6–7 months of age, although it's also found in mature fruit.
