Good morning and day two of the potty mat training. If you read my earlier posts, you would know that our fur baby has just been lying on the potty mat that we have given her now that we live in an apartment.
So yesterday, I thought if I take her and the mat outside, she can do her business on the potty mat as we go for a walk along the esplanade - to get used to it.
Well, I thought it was a good idea... 16 tries later and hundreds of laughing people walking past convinced me that she thought it was our old doormat. Similar colour and similar texture. She would go to it sniff it and sit on it and lie down. Sometimes even roll over. #embarrassing
Eventually, I put it under her just as she was doing her business in a lady like fashion. Any tips greatly appreciated – PLEASE!!!! #desperatetimes 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶
This was me in #highschool . If you want to know the pain and tortured heartbreak behind the smile.... I am thrilled to announce I’m going back to @mortifiedshow for their big Valentine’s Day show on February 10th at both 6pm and 9pm! Come listen to my diaries and use it against me forever. Tickets link in bio.
Sometimes you excitedly jump up from the couch with wool socks onto a laminate floor and you bail and eat absolute $hit and smoke your wrist and scratch your back on the coffee table....and in addition to that sometimes your boyfriend repeatedly offers you ice and advises you to ice it but naturally you ignore him because you're #wonderwoman ....and then this happens the next morning. #sotheresthat#stupid#falling#embarrassing
Reliving every awkward moment of my standardized patient encounter (i.e. When you start a sentence or question and don't know where it's going. Or accidentally making them do the same range of motion twice because you forgot you did it). This afternoon we review them in groups. Here's to hoping Im not the most awkward one...
Personal question: does oatmeal give you gas?
I learned when I was nursing my first child that gas is a very common and problematic effect of eating oatmeal. 😳 (In fact it was increasing my supply, but both mother and baby we're having uncomfortable).
This may be why soaked oatmeal products and recipes are growing in popularity, as soaking can solve the problem!
I'm not one of these women who rocks the meal prep, but when it comes to oatmeal I must prepare it in advance.
Take a 1 quart Mason jar, and fill with 1 1/2 cup rolled oats. Cover the oats with boiling water and let cool. Here's the delicious kicker... Once cool pour a few teaspoons of whey off yogurt or sour cream (the stuff that is labeled live and active). Refrigerate over night and up to see week. I'm telling you it will take you oatmeal to the next level without the gas 😉
