November is National Diabetes Awareness Month
Type 1 diabetes is a chronic, autoimmune condition that occurs when the body’s own immune system attacks the insulin-producing beta cells of the pancreas. This attack leaves the pancreas with no ability to produce insulin, a hormone that regulates blood sugar. Without insulin, sugar stays in the blood and can cause serious damage to organ systems, causing people to experience Diabetic ketoacidosis
Glucose is the fuel our bodies need to make energy. The pancreas releases insulin that acts as a kind of key to unlock the cells, allowing glucose to enter and be absorbed. Without fuel, cells in the body cannot survive. Unfortunately, excess glucose can make the bloodstream too acidic, resulting in diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), which can be fatal if not treated. People with T1D must inject or pump insulin into their bodies every day to carefully regulate blood sugar
Living with T1D is a full-time balancing act requiring constant attention to avoid acute, life-threatening hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) or the long-term damage done by hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). Blood sugar levels must be monitored either with finger pricks or a continuous glucose monitor. Insulin doses must then be carefully calculated based upon activity and stress levels, food intake, illness and additional factors. These calculations are rarely perfect resulting in a tremendous emotional and mental burden for both patient and caregivers

An empowering antidote to the perfect yet unrealistic snaps we see and take on here everyday. Instagram I love you but sometimes the pressure of perfect is too much and it does the head good to be reminded that whilst yes I enjoy looking at the beauty on here it isn't always real and I don't have to try to live up to it. Real is much more beautiful. I feel very proud and honoured to have been included!
My favorite day of sight seeing🌲🏞 || The waterfalls & the creeks were breathtaking. Don’t even get me started on the flowing water, it was so calming and relaxing. I could have stayed forever, lol. But I can’t wait to get back to reality and back to my routine! PLUS I miss @emily.bilz & our pups♥️ | T-Minus 6 1/2 hrs. 🛣

This trip is exactly what I needed. Sometimes in life, to move on and become stronger. You need to apologize for things you’ve done in the past, realize that’s not you anymore and really let it ALL out. Leave nothing in, and FINALLY have closure for yourself. I cried, laughed, and laughed some more. I just couldn’t have asked for a better trip. This was one for the books. Feeling extremely blessed. Thank you so much @brandontylerfeeks & Manny, you both were fabulous ♥️🍁
Also, being able to reach out & help others change for THEM!! Seriously has helped my own transition. Very thankful for saying yes and becoming a health/fitness coach. The community & my passion is striving me to do more each day. Best part is working on myself in the process. Fitness, health, and mindset. || HAPPY SATURDAY!

Most mothers feel powerless to stress because we interpret our stress to coming from source outside us.
But believe me it's not the source.!
Don't make the mistake of forgetting to look inside of ourselves as the source of our own stress.
If we have the power to project negatively ,then we must have equal power to project for something positive.
Stress may feel bad but trust it's intention is good.
Do these things when you feel stressed : *Develop your self-awareness. *Get creative. *Examine and act on priorities.
