Drills adalah jenis latihan singkat yang menirukan gerakan lari dan bertujuan untuk membiasakan tubuh akan gerakan-gerakan tersebut sehingga dapat mengaplikasikannya secara efisien ke dalam mekanisme lari.
Latihan drills ini dapat berfungsi sebagai pemanasan dinamis sebelum mulai berlari, dapat juga dilakukan setelah lari untuk melatih tubuh melakukan gerakan lari dengan postur ideal walaupun kita sudah merasa lelah.

There's 2 parts to any exercise - #strength and #technique . In the beginning we rely on our strength, our natural ability to move our own body. From #pullups to #squats to #running , we can "muscle through it". And we see progress and improvement. We get stronger and faster. But eventually we will plateau, or worse, we will experience pain and #injury . And even though somewhere in the back of our heads we knew technique was important, we never quite gave it the attention and respect it deserved.
For me, the last year was spent back at square one. Necessity born out of pain drove me to learn #newinformation#newmethods and #newmindsets . My strength had failed me, body and mind, and technique was my only hope. Today was one of those days where the technique was on point, and it feels like #magic .
I'm not just talking about foot placements and back arches and centers of gravity.
Strength = Eating #healthy
Technique = Understanding #macros and what ratio fuels me best
Strength = pushing through any #workout , the harder the better
Technique = planning workouts to balance #strength#mobility#power#speed#endurance and #recovery around follicular and luteal phases
Strength = #workaholic obsession trying to "do it all"
Technique = managing expectations and priorities
Strength = 3.5 years of #chiropractor visits to manage back pain
Technique = improving #posture and movement to eliminate #backpain

As health and wellness continues to be a point of emphasis throughout the world the saying "you gotta put the right fuel in the tank......you wouldn't put 85 octane in a Ferrari!" has been used to some extent (or other version of a metaphor) with the debate of what is the right "99 octane" continuing to go strong. Fortunately there's a high subject size study going on looking for the general public's assistance on this topic. ------------------------------------------------
The Nutrition and Running High Mileage study (nurmi-study.com) is an international collaboration looking at runners of all experiences, distances, and diets to look at omnivores vs vegetarians vs vegans running performance. Check out at the website above for more details and hopefully a full publication on the results soon.

4am hike to the mountains for those already cut from the event. Not missing the opportunity to take in some of the most amazing views Scotland has to offer, these participants decided to carry on hiking through torrential storms, even though no wedge or coin awaits them at the end of the event.
day 38 of working out every day.part of being an athlete is improving on all aspects and being better all around. since I can't lift heavy at the moment due to letting my wrist heal up.it's a perfect time to improve my endurance, less time in the gym and taking advance of exercising outside.one of the perks of living in California :) keeping it simple with interval cardio in my back yard.

Really starting to enjoy my sessions now and look forward to getting to the gym everyday without anything holding me back. ▪
Key to this is to always try new things and dont limit yourself to the same old boring routine. ▪
My sessions are dedicated to #strengthtraining and i know that #cardio is not what i am solely wanting to concentrate on but i am incorporating bits of it where i can and one i really enjoy is #boxing . ▪
This to me has been something that ive always wanted to be involved in from a younger age and i did get a small taste of it many years ago but i never pursued it. ▪
I am considering joining up to a #boxinggym in the warmer months to help with technique. ▪

Running or jogging is simple but having the right kind of shoe is also important. Having the right kind of shoe helps with balance and prevent injuries or soreness while running! Having a shoe that fits right is personal everyone is different but the key points to having a good running shoe is grip, comfort and stability. Always make sure your feet are secure and comfortable! 🏃🏼💨 get after it!😜💪🏼
